hello, I have a question related to the modpack, i have been playing TFG and FINALY constructed a high pressure liquid steam boiler for a forge hammer, but there is nowhere to put the fuel items...I have been tinkering for a solution for a long time but haven't found one, do you know how it works or is it disabled on purpose by the modpack creator? 🤔
@Dragonium101904 сағат бұрын
High pressure liquid steam boiler will need liquids pumped in: water for making steam, and then lava or creosote for fuel If you want to use items you will need a high pressure solid steam boiler

Did you notice that the red alloy in the crucible is 4 copper to 1 redstone, but the lv mixer uses 4 redstone to 1 copper? the centrifuge recipe to undo red alloy dust also gives 4 redstone and 1 copper, unless im missing something isn't it possible to convert copper to redstone, it may be a bit tedious though

If you find machines sounds annoying, the Extreme Sound Muffler mod will be very helpful! It lets you tweak the volume of any sounds independently with just a click (also can muffle). It's based on sound files, so players can have more control of what sounds to be played. I technically can't live without this mod now.

Yeah I got the mod, it should be in every pack by default

Ihope that flurbenget better soon, also a couple tgings you can do, for the platinum you want to process as only the necessary until you get the platline, as that is needed for getting the other platinum group metals and they are all needed to advance, but when you get yo start the platline you'd could only do the Platinum metalic dust first and save the byproducts for when you need the other metals, also the line should be passive so it is aways processing as it is a slow process, for the ebf you can put more that one input hach on it and having one with nitrogen and the other with oxygen, but you need to keep in mimd that there is a minimum number of casings that a multiblock needs to have, later on you can make quadruple input hachs, an even nonetuple input hachs, wich will make the process of having multiple fluids easier, and you will need to start to produce argon pretty soon if you want to do the gas recipe for the ebf, and you can get argon, and Helium, wich will be the ebf gas later in the game, by puting air from a collector, putting it in a vacuum freezer, and then distilling it, wich IIRC can be done on a single block distillery, but it is more efficient in a distillation tower, as that way you get all of the products from Distillation

In a sort of paradoxical way, I think shaders look better, but i don't think it looks worse without shaders, its like the notches/punch out holes on phones, you would prefer if it didn't have it, but even when it is there, when you using the thing you don't really notice.

I think you can use the hammer to muffle the machines, I saw Threefold do it so I am pretty sure it works. (Threefold, if you don’t know him, is a GregTech pro).
@jonasgajdosikas11253 күн бұрын
don't forget you can hit machines with a hard hammer to muffle them. gt tools are not only used in crafting recipes, but are generally useful too running an lv recipe in the mv machine makes it 2/4 x faster and uses 4x the energy. in electric machines it generally means the recipe just runs faster. you can click the voltage tier button in emi to see the time/EUt for the recipe when it's overclocked

the Bloomery ratios are a nightmare... I started playing TFG with a friend and we got to the bloomery stage, but I quite literally had to pull up a calculator to optimalize iron output... and failed to do that EVEN WITH a calculator, because I forgot to tell my friend to... use hammers on any cast iron ore... and now I have to not ONLY do all the blacksmithing, because I have the patience to do it, but also calculate bloomery ratios, because I am very sensitive when wasting resources...

Maybe you should set up a buffer chest at the end of the long distance pipe coming from the tree farm. If you are running low on saplings you might not be getting anything at the end.

I'm back again - I can't seem to get my ore washer or distillery to work, I'm pumping in water from create, they have power and I set the circuit config, but they don't do anything. If I bucket water into them instead, they work fine, but that's not practical
@Pyritie5 күн бұрын
Found my own answer, it has to specifically be water source, create pump, then greg pipes in that order. Any create pipes involved seem to do something to the water. Which is weird because I can use create pumps on the high pressure boilers just fine

What you're looking for to pipe the items out of the interfaces from create is a funnel, preferably the brass funnel cause it outputs items significantly faster, or if you want to stick with chutes, i'd use the smart chute, cause it outputs way way faster.
@Dragonium101903 күн бұрын
Wound up using a smart chute
@WiseMack7185 күн бұрын
When it comes to Create localized power generation is the rule, not the exception. As awesome as steam engines are, they are not necessary for 95%+ of Create contraptions. For instance the windmill could easily run perfectly fine with a small waterwheel laid horizontally beneath the ground (Granted you have to use a mechanical instead of a windmill bearing) A water pump can be powered with a waterwheel and a couple of gears to speed it up. When it comes to item transfer in Create it comes down to Funnels and Chutes. Chutes go straight down, while Funnels go to the side. About the treefarm there is no need to speed it up, so long as it rotates once every day it is more than fast enough to keep up with your needs.
@Dragonium101903 күн бұрын
Unfortunately waterwheels+Shaders are not happy together, but we will be fixing the crazy create setups we have rn lol
@realMohock5 күн бұрын
you can use a conveyor belt to suck the items out of the item interface into an adjacent pipe or buffercrate or even the pipeline entry directly should work. will probably move my treefarm into far chunks soon too and test which interface transfer method works best with pipelines. if interfaces cant get accessed by conveyors it i would go with smartchute (transfers full stack instead of 16 items with normal chutes) ->buffercrate->conveyor->pipeline. also quick tip for low oxygen production: granit->macerate to dust->centrifuge to silicon dioxide->electrolyze to oxygen. this method gets you 2B of oxygen every 3.5s on mv(which is necessary for the macerate step). one more quick tip, you can use a supertank to void all the water from clay electrolysis pre fluid void covers. Love this video series, keep up the great work!^^
@Dragonium1019029 минут бұрын
Granite Dust to oxygen line is so helpful!! Also the Supertanks for voiding water is genius, why didn't I think of that lol
@13akful6 күн бұрын
So the large heat exchanger is not on this version of gregtch i take, as that multiblock is the one that make the Superheated steam
@13akful5 күн бұрын
Also on a side note, as you will need methane to make the lcr, IIRC you can get methane by distilling wood gas, wich if i'm correct you can get as a byproduct of your benzene production if you're willing to make the quite large investment of stainless steel to build a distillation tower, wich will also give you wood vinegar wich is a source of acetic acid, wich will be needed in the future

is there a way to make steel (and iron) in ulv or lv other than using terrafirma's blast furnace or bloomery?
@Dragonium101906 күн бұрын
An LV Arc Furnace is your friend, Before that I've heard if you put a (create) mechanical pump and pump the steel directly out of the blast furnace into a cast it, it instantly cools which makes the whole process a lot faster (I haven't tested this)
