I made the modification months ago and it worked well. Took out the tool yesterday, inserted a new Dremel Wood & Metal blade. Did not power on or use the tool. Went to take it off and the spring release is not working, so impossible to remove the blade. I tried disassembling (per your video) and the anvil (long screw) is immovable. Suggestions?

@callmemike6171 10 күн бұрын
If you inserted a new Dremel Wood & Metal blade yesterday, then the tool-free clamp must have worked? Perhaps you are over-tightening the clamp knob. The anvil screw should not be that tight unless permanent thread locker was used during assembly. Possibly heating the allen wrench with a torch before inserting will conduct heat down the screw, and soften the thread locker. Do with caution, as not to burn yourself or damage plastic components.

Thanks for this step-by-step guide. My printer, a HL-L5100DN, showed the same faint-margin symptoms. I followed your instructions and all went back to normal, which saved me the cost of changing the toner cartridge and the drum, which wouldn't have solved the issue anyway. 👍

I have 2 of these exact saws. Ordered the carb in a kit but it wasn’t the one u replaced. I thought it was the wrong carb when I received it. Ordered another different brand and it was the same as the first one I had ordered. The fuel lines were on the same side of the carb. It still worked but had to tinker with the throttle linkage to get it. No issues for nearly a year now

Why not just cut the attaching part of an old dremel blade and us it in place of the washer.
@callmemike6171
@callmemike6171 Ай бұрын
Many generic blade kits already come with a horseshoe shaped adapter. Using a cutoff Dremel blade would provide the same effect. The washer will not fall off while installing a generic blade and does not interfere with spline engagement. Thanks for the reply!

You sir, are a massive genius, I have a hl 2270,replaced drum and toner, consistent faded prints persists, then I went deeper into youtube to disassemble the printer to find out about the laser assembly, and cleaned a rather dirty laser mirror, issue improved but only slightly better. Your solution about the rotating mirror got my printer working like brand new! I didn't even think it was a mirror when I opened the laser assembly! Thank you so much you saved me from having to write off the new toner and drums that I bought🙏

Information is scarce on inexpensive Chinese tools. I even found the same tool under the brand Alloyman, along with it's manual. Green, yellow, and red for charge level, and nothing more. If it flashes green when you push the switch and no motor, then I would guess internal electrical failure. Sorry I couldn't help more.

This sprayer has 4 nozzles, 3mm down to 1.5mm and it has variable speed. You should be able to get your desired mist with the small nozzle and adjusting the speed (pressure). I read that hvlp is better with alcohol diluted dye, and water-based dye is easier applied by hand.

I've had luck getting a few yard tools running again for under $20.00, including carb. For this Homelite, OEM carb is discontinued and I could not find an exact aftermarket match. I decided to try with just a good cleaning and hose replacement. The priming bulb circuit was still giving trouble. It is mounted on the carb, no replacement available, and a dead end for me. Sorry I don't have better news.

I followed this guide to fix two HL-L6400DW that was gonna get trashed since they didn't work after we replaced both drum and toner. Worked like a charm, q-tip (special kind, made for cleaning a big Roland-printer) and isopropyl alcohol. Both printers like new again. Can't recommend this enough. The L6400DW is mostly the same process in terms of getting access to the laser unit, can easily be done based on this video. 💯

Bought one for $5 at a pawn shop and put a dremel blade on it but for some odd reason i see it loosens up while using it for more than 10 seconds you think this may fix tightening screw from loosening
@callmemike6171
@callmemike6171 6 ай бұрын
This procedure will only keep a non-Dremel blade from falling off. If the blade is getting loose at the bottom, then a washer would provide clamping on a larger area. If the tightening knob is getting loose that quick, then the previous owner possibly stripped something from over tightening. Mine has never become loose.

Unfortunately, cleaning optics only cures one potential quality issue, but a common one. If the whole page is less than perfect with fading, ghosting, or blotching, then there is something more going on. It could be toner cartridge, drum, fusing unit, or even electronics. If the page looks great except for the left border fading out, then I would still give optics another shot. Isopropyl alcohol 99% on rotating optics and all other mirrors in the path. Treat it like cleaning a pair of eye glasses. Thanks, good luck!

Thank you for your reply! Popular brands, with long term replacement parts and support would cost four times more, and a replacement battery costing as much as this kit. For my occasional use, purchasing a inexpensive ratchet with two batteries is a planned lifecycle. No bad feelings if it dies after a few years. Side note: The solid hinge pin on the paddle switch walks out during use. I replaced it with a cotter pin for a simple fix.

When I found tune-up kits, including carburetor, for less than the cost of an OEM gasket kit, I couldn't resist. I've tried them on a few pieces of equipment with mixed results. For a basic do-it-yourself person, using their yard tools occasionally, this is a viable option. Primer bulb? I confess, sometimes there's ethanol in the mix. Change it now, or change it later.

@callmemike6171
@callmemike6171 Жыл бұрын
I've never had a 2300 series printer open, but the laser assembly should be similar. However, with the leading edge of the rotating optics catching the contamination, fading should show on the left edge of the page. I would be more suspicious of the drum. I believe that printer still has a separate drum and toner cartridge? Cleaning optics is a free step in troubleshooting either way.
