A great film about growing up in a working class neighborhood in the big city during the 60s. I could relate, having grown up in the 60s in the Western Addition in S.F. The scene where the main character takes his girlfriend home, then has a glass bottle thrown at him as he walks away was something that actually happened to me, too.

The two possible threats were sent by Noah Tanenbaum. The black screen? That's cuz they punched his effin' lights out.

I think people on the set were annoyed by Shelly off camera. She seemed needy for attention and jealous of Nicholson. He was a superstar and was treated like it. He received alot of attention from different folks off camera. She was very dramatic and sought attention while crying. But i would say in her defense, she was playing a pretty inense role. A pretty deep range of emotion. Of course thats just my opinion of what i saw about the production.

You can see Arnold's limitation wasn't his lack of acting skills, but rather language skills. So many think tanks filmmakers fail to grasp the idea that A sequel shouldn't the carbon copy of original film and instead, should bring something new to the table.

One of my fav movies of the mid 2000s, alongside Hostage with Bruce Willis also. Crash was also very good. Good times 👍

That ending meant death, maybe not even Tony, but who was sittin in front of him. I personally think we all go that way. One second you may look at your loved one and the next it all black. Death. Maybe it was Carmellas pov, she was shot, died and Tony did not even had time to react, he was next. Scary ending and scarily realistic.

Val did a great job playing him as a drunk but Jim also had a soft side. I wonder why Oliver, who loved Jim,didn’t put a lot of Jim’s soft sides in the film. I still watch it.

Yes the book has more coherence than the movie..... But.... Sorry King, but a fire extinguisher or animals made with bush are not scary if you see them. Or the guy in dog suit, in the book is a joke character, besides in the movie... it was one of the most scary moments. Other problem that I have with the book is the boiler, which was an easy way to destroy the hotel, a malevolent being being destroyed by a mere explosion. In the movie, they only escape, but the hotel is still there, living. In King's lore there are only ruins of that (even said in other of his books). The book is very good, but like many books of King, they only work with imagination; watching evil cars or the funny monsters he used in It... They would make us only laugh.

its unfortunate but the actor who played calogero did go on to play matt bevilaqua (drinkwater) in the sopranos, but he started to get into crime in real life, and went to prison for a burglary I think or a murder charge.

Chess hustler Mr **Mystical** 3 weeks of takes on 1 scene Kubrick. IMO, “The Shining” ab’t himself. “👀WideShut” exaggerated “cult” mask bs put the “deep” meaning in everyone’s eye. Other party scenes+alcohol used by reality based H’wood, Scibots,”fraternities” for blackmail. “Shining” actors used heavy drugs either before or after putting their lives at risk in service to “Duh Genius.”
