I woke up one morning at the age of 72 and couldn't fully straighten my right arm and it was hurting in the area of the distal bicep tendon. It didn't resolve in a few days so I got an MRI. The MRI report says that the distal bicep tendon has a small partial tear. I have no idea how it happened. I'm 78 now and haven't had surgery. I still can't straighten the arm and it hurts a bit from time to time if I overuse it. I'm curious why I can't straighten the arm and if that is a typical symptom of a distal bicep tendon tear.

I have a shoulder labral tear and a cyst on spinoglenoid notch and measures approximately 1.5 X 1.4 x 1.3 Cm. I was given a cortisone shot for pain and it has relived 95% of the pain, but the cyst is definitely pressing up on my nerve cashing severe pain when i didn't have cortisone. Doc suggested shoulder surgery but i cant do that RIGHT now. I'm seeking to try Ultrasound-guided cyst aspiration to prevent it pressing on my nerve... then we can talk surgery but I'm cannot do surgery right now but the pain without cortisone was the worse pain i've ever felt in my life. I'd like to try PRP before full fledged surgery as well.

He and she failed to mention insurance doesn’t cover PRP. Get your checkbook out. I’ve researched it and it could run $350 to $750 a jab. And the number of platelets is important.

I just had PRP for a torn hamstring And had I known about this procedure and it’s results. I would have signed up for PRP earlier. The throbbing, constant pain is gone. I have 3 weeks to go more to see “ results” according to my Dr. I felt discomfort the day after procedure, other than that. Smooth journey. Very excited. To awake pain free is truly a gift!!

I just had PRP performed on my lower back. 2 of my discs lost their fluids and were rubbing against my nerve causing severe pain. I've been living with this pain since 2015 when the injury occured. I've been to chiro's, PT's, acupuncture, neuro surgeons, none of them helped. They all referred me to pain killers and surgery. The day I had my procedure, I walked into the office, he drew my blood, 1 hour later he injected me about 15-20 times directly into my lower back. The pain level was a 6/7 out of 10. It was a stinging pain from the poking. When I stood up, I felt no pain in my lower back, this was obviously due to the lidocain agent. I have been waiting for the pain to come back and it hasn't yet. It has been 72 hours since my procedure and for the first time since 2015, I am pain free. I plan to return for 2-3 more procedures then onto my hips then my knees. I was very athletic in high school and college and banged up my body pretty badly. I am a 42 year old male.

I have just had this treatment done on 31 oct 22 on both legs both sides, after suffering for many years and was diagnosed with compartment syndrome after the pressure test was carried out. had been to orthopedic surgeons many times and did many x-rays and ultrasound did not show anything the only way to really confirm this is by pressure test. looking forward to recovery journey currently cannot walk without walker.

I understand they spin the blood for up to 76 hours in European procedures. The healing platelets are more powerful. The party-pooping FDA limits your own blood being out of your body for more than a day. States that when re-introduced to the body, it is now a "drug". Therefore, this procedure is said to yield more powerful results in Europe. True or not?

I've had two rotator cuff surgeries in less than seven months. My second surgery was this very one. My injury was listed as a, massive complete rotator cuff tear. My surgeon told me my shoulder was absolutely destroyed. You have to know, and your surgeon should tell you. As mine did, before he did the surgery. Massive rotator cuff tears have around a 90% failure rate. I'm now looking at my 3rd surgery in just over a year. Not looking forward to it, plus, I have to go out of state for this one.

I had bilateral compartment syndrome in 2016. I spent 5 months in the hospital, had 7 surgeries, a skin graph and a few blood infusions. I was told I would never walk again. My doctor wanted to amputate my legs especially my left leg as it was doing really bad. It was tough and one of the biggest challenges I had to over come however I made and I'm here :) I made a short video and posted it on youtube. I was able to heal in about 2 years. Played in severe pain, and swollen knees after games. But I believe my right knee would heal. A couple months after my right knee healed, my left knee was hit during indoor soccer. It's been 4 years and it still hasn't healed. Pops during games, rest for a week, then back at it again. I will get the surgery done eventually. The pain is excruciating.
