Yuja gave it her all, and it still isn't Rachmaninoff at his best. Brilliant solo performance, beyond amazing.

La musicalidad, potencia sonora, sentido de la estructura e implicación emocional de Argerich, sigue todavía un peldaño por encima de Yuja Wang. En técnica pueden andar parejas, toda vez que la china es también un portento.

Muy buena, pero es necesario escucharla más en el gran repertorio y con análisis más rigurosos (no solo se trata de dar notas). Se necesitan más grabaciones suyas y luego la comparamos con otros. De momento no hay un despunte claro, a excepción de esas pequeñas piezas de acrobacia pianística que tan bien se le dan. Para los que tengan alguna duda: comparen esta interpretación del Concierto nº 1 de Listz, con la famosa de Sviatoslav Richter, con Kiril Kondrashin (Philips), a ver si en conjunto (ya sé que hay detalles muy buenos aquí) se observa el mismo sentido de la estructura de la obra, la potencia y la implicacion emocional.

The ability to play Chopin with this emotional power is something that words can't describe. I am so sad that Martha is not playing this concerto anymore. I adore her version. :)

A WONDERFUL PIANIST ! HOW COULD SHE CAPABLE MEMORIZED SUCH EXTREMELY LONG, COMPELX AND RANDOMIZE NOTES ? DOES ANYONE ABLE TO PIN POINT ANY SMALL MISTAKE FROM HER PLAYING ? I BELIEVED EVEN AFTER LISTENING THE SAME TONE HUNDRED TIMES WOULD NOT ABLE TO MEMORIZED EACH NOTES CORRECTLY !

The first that I heard this I heard this was in the wake of the Hungarian Revolt when the Hungarian pianist Gerge Ciffra a refugee from Hungary came west. I think Yuja Wang is ore poetic as well as quite as robust. This is the best performance I heard of this. I hope she plays the Hungarian Fantasia, I prefer it to the concertos but this is still a lovely interpretation. The word Pianoforte comes alive with this lady, her touch is so flexible.
