Omg yes, it's the first thing I look for when I pop the hood of these engines.

how much did you charge for this whole process? What should be an average cost fo this? My S4 timing chain needs to be replaced I got quotes for 8700 9800 and 10300 to do this job. Do these numbers make sense?
@NutsandBoltswithTone5 сағат бұрын
Honestly I do not recall what it cost. It was years ago when I did this repair. Sorry wish I could help.

nice video over all. if the cam is locked from rotating and the timing chain is on......is the crank not locked as well? are we holding back up just to keep from damaging the timing components and not necessarily to keep the engine from spinning?

I have a question, please. When you drain the oil inside the crankcase, does all the oil from the gearbox come down or not? I have seen people add oil inside the gearbox to also drain the remaining oil. Is this true? The question is: when the engine is off, does all the oil from the gearbox flow down into the crankcase?

Unfortunately he had only had the truck for 10k I think. Maybe more but he has done the maintenance since he had it. Damage was done before he owned it.

Use a collapsible set like that. The magnet keeps it on the lift table and they keep the hardware where I need it. Love em.

7mm bolts suck! Always super shallow heads! But the. You get the 5.5mm which will keep your socket!

Hey awesome channel!! So I have a 2016 F250 Diesel I was on my way home the other day and all of the sudden I could not brake my brakes were hard as concrete and then I was seeing white smoke come out of my exhaust it freaked me out I don't know what was going on so I pulled over..... my truck is deleted with a switch on the Fly..... And I opened up the hood and of course I am not a mechanic I didn't see anything but I drove the truck home going 20 miles an hour I had to use both of my feet to brake..... is it the vacuum pump? because I do have that leak that you're talking about it's all over my driveway my wife's uncle is a diesel mechanic he is retired he doesn't mess with it anymore he told me that it is the vacuum pump but is the white smoke part of it is that normal that was coming out of the exhaust thank you so much!! I do have the Zeus+ and it's a durable scanner. Every Snap-on scan tool I purchased all the way back to the red brick is probably still working. They last decades! The Launch I had the diagun Mini Pros and a few others actually do more than the Snap-on but gave some false readings mainly on HVAC or ambient temp sensors. When it came time purchase updates, I declined. For the few features the Launch had the Snap-on didn't have it was great, but the life of these cheaper tools are short lived. Maybe it would have been better if I had the more advanced version of the tool. Except for Nissans, the Zeus+ is crazy fast doing pre scan on all modules. Fastest scanner I ever used. The only negative of the Snap-on Zeus+ is the price and it won't replace a laptop or even an iPad Air. Not very good for watching videos or tutorials, it eventually crashes at times watching KZbin. But for a scan tool it's great.

Yet again, we have a stupid tool. Only stupid people need. Most mechanics already have tools at their disposal to do this exact thing called a ratchet strap. Mabye new techs but eventually they will get a ratchet strap.

If your new hoses come with new quick connects, just use a Dremel at low speed setting and cut off the old connections.
