its a fun game, sadly it lacks the charm of the original digimon world both in art direction and interaction, but its fun. the learning curve is hard but once you learn that the gym should not be the way you train your digimon but with battles you improve a lot, A LOT! it becomes way easier its a bit grindy as all japanese games but yeah fun game.

the biggest grudge I have with the game is how grindy it is, from resource gathering that takes a shit ton of time for no good reason... farming good ingredients been too slow and by the time you get good ingredients cooking is the worst option for feeding as you already have money to just go to the restaurant... ideally we should be able to cook dishes in the camp regardless of digimon been hungry and use them whenever we need them. picking up items and resources should be instant instead of having to be there bashing A until you collect all 5 resources...

I wish they put more effort in the level design, it looks bland and generic but I think ive been spoiled by games with amazing enviroment design like elden ring... but seriously it lacks a lot of charm found in the og digimon world, screens everywhere, lot of electronic components a giant vintage toys, cardboard structures, large electrodomestics used to form the building, areas that felt amazing, but here are just meh... also bothers me that we cant recruit the alternative colored digimons, specially sad for black and clear toy agumon, the gym is boring AF, just hitting the roulete doing nothing was boring and even those upgrades were grindy to hell and rewardless cause the gym is useless for training. some buildings exteriors barely improve when you upgrade them. cards are also useless.. would have been fun if for the mid to end game you could actually play the card game and trade cards with other digimon but considering all the other issues that is asking wayy too much.

I play the complete edition from cyber slueth and hackers mm, the best game ever. I cant motivate me to play next order, seems like to much grinding, i realy would like play it with cheats 😬 i know its not cool to cheating, but i wanna just enjoy the Game on easy mode. Idk its on switch possible to cheat

I had Mega collection and Gems collection on Gamecube and one thing that annoys me about Sonic collections is that whenever they include the 8 bit games they always use the Game Gear versions instead of the superior Master System versions which i honestly think is just stupid.

look, i just really hate the human character design in these games :/ Part of me just wishes we could have digimon world 1, but with all the quality of life elements that we have here. maybe just my nostalgia speaking, so ignore me.

This didn't scratch the itch for me. The flat drab worlds, the anthropomorph designs (Yes I know Leomon etc existed since DW1 but they were always a negative for me), the ugly interface, the incomplete animations, and the anime people were all negatives for me. The blending of pet sim and adventure is a spectacular idea that I've still not seen explored fully.

I agree with everything you've said. What I liked about the game was how bold it was, how it didn't just try to be cool, it was. Sonic's theme being hard rock, and about how he has to do the right thing no matter what, is so brilliant. It's not even nostalgia that makes us like it. I've watched Vtubers play it for the first time and be amazed with how much better it is than any recent Sonic game. How other games don't even compare. Also, there's a mod on Game Banana that turns Froggy into the collectible item you get as the goal in Gamma's stages. I'm glad for it, because Big's stages were the only reason I wouldn't wholeheartedly recommend this game.

I've never played a Digimon game before this looks like a lot of fun, I like game's that have monster companions. Like Pokemon, Dragon Quest, Persona/Shin Megami. Stuff like that.

The number one thing I have beef with this game on is that they don't correlate digimon Levels and and evolutions, so finding those places to grind is real hard, and not intuitive. So you have to like, sneak past a weirdly strong Koromon, to then fight a weirdly weak Birdramon, and it feels like a game I had to play with a guide open, and couldn't just intuit where to go. I love all of the QoL it gives for the World subseries, but it wore me down with the grind. Maybe I'll play it again one of these days, and like you, have a different read on it, but the thing that changed your mind and made you have fun with it, is the thing that made me mad, and stop having fun with it. Great video, here's hoping we get some crumbs for the next Story game soon.

Sonic Jam was what made me love Sonic (and played the classics on easy for my young skill set) Sonic Mega Collection Plus made me fully complete the classics as intended and also introduced me to the archive comics (I'm from the UK so i had Fleetways Sonic the comic which was awesome too)

Making a Parappa/Um Jammer Lammy game is not easy, i think MMMM shows exactly how difficult creating the cartoony world and scenarios that Parappa has. Also nobody thinks about how difficult making music is, it's nearly impossible to create a consistently loved album long music set list, much less making it freestyle friendly. I would love another game but it's easy to forget how much work went into the 3 existing games.
