Hi Kate, sounds like you have the 12 volt version. This is the 20 volt version, therefore you require 12 volt battery and 12 volt charger! Cheers😊

@DennisDIY25 күн бұрын
The X20v Team Battery is compatible with the machine, a Bluetooth battery has no value for the machine
@nilsfrahm132329 күн бұрын
The battery circuit seems strange to me. The liion cells would normally just be connected to output, without any transistors, because during heavy use, current goes very high, more than 20Amps and you would need very large heavy duty transistors. They can be used for charging circuit, of course, but this is not in use when running the tool, only when battery is in charger. Thus makes no sense to overheat and melt the solder on those components when running the tool. Unless the motor needs 18V or 42V and they used a 12V battery with components to increase the voltage, which is not good design.

I recently bought this same Parkside Performance 12 volt screwdriver, but as a complete kit 2x 12v 2A batteries, 1 charger, a kit of normal drills, a kit of wood drills and a kit of screw adapters all inside the screwdriver bag for 72 euros It wasn't cheap but at least I didn't need to buy anything else, the only thing I would like was instead of 2x 2A batteries I would like it to be one 12v 2A and one 12v 4A because I've seen in other videos that the 12v 4A one gives a extra performance because the energy drop during periods of effort is smaller in a 4A battery and also that with a 4A battery you have 48W of power in the screwdriver and with a 2A battery you have 24W of power
@DennisDIYАй бұрын
Nice to have a complete set, I haven't test a 4AH yet. Thanks for you comment. I will see if I can get a 4ah as Wel. I really like the small size of those machines, some extra power is welcome, but I do think it's really strong already with the 2 AH.
@nebuloso6527Ай бұрын
@@DennisDIY well, it would actually be interesting to put a battery with more capacity to see if the difference in performance would be noticeable in the different devices, especially when there are 3 types of 12v batteries and 3 types of 20v, with a borrowed 12v 4A battery I was able to conclude that it seems give extra performance but I haven't tested it yet with a 12v 5A battery, I wonder if it would give a little more performance, it's a strong device with a 12v 2A battery but at some point the need for a little more power appears, for example in my tests with a 12v 2A battery I was unable to remove a rusty screw from an electric scooter but with the 12v 4A battery I was able to remove it

No, it's an automatic spanner, it comes. Loose every time, normally this works with a screw and not with a coil spring.

@@DennisDIY when I unscrew the red lock, then the sword can move as you say, but if you pull the sword while tighten the red lock, then the sword is totally fixed.. Good demo of this versatile little gem. I've already bought other tools in the 12v range: the drill/driver, planer, and jigsaw. The planer is excellent, the driver does what you'd expect, and the jigsaw is fine for anything up to 12mm. I managed to pick up all three with 10 percent off, and a further reduction on the drill/driver of 30 percent, as someone had opened the box and pinched the toffee drill bits that should have come with it. Like you say, for under £20 it would be rude not too.
