I’m doing a head gasket job and I did a bad thang…I removed the rotor from the distributor and later realized that it can go back in one of three different positions…WTF!!! Never seen that before. Do you have any advice for me?? 😮

Tony, great video. May I ask whether there is a difference between fuel filter for single injected Samurai to Multi point injection? I have a single injection Samurai and can not find an aftermarket fuel filter. will appreciate your advise.

Awesome....I am so thankful to find this out....just like you said, after buying the samurai I went for a trail ride and got it stuck in neutral....I thought sure as shit everything was FUBAR, but nope....just the bushing, completely gone, my guess is it's in the bottom of the t case somewhere, thank you so much sir!

Gotta love KZbin and guys like this. My SWB Grand Vitara rear door handle snapped in my hand yesterday. Latch system is gummed up and probably putting too much force on the brittle 20yr old plastic handle. It finally gave up. I ordered an OEM full handle assembly and it looks pretty easy to swap it out and get busy with some maintainence spray. God I love the smell of maintainence spray in the morning. Happy days.

How I tell them apart is by the plug wires. If they go straight in it's a 16v. At an angle 8v. Distributors. 16v leans to driver side. 8v leans to passenger side. Simple as that

Can you please make a video on the TBI, explaining how and what to adjust when having common idling issues? There is not any videos where anyone actually adjusts and fixes the issues. One is high idle, no matter what..even if the high idle plunger is retracted back..

Would you say the 3k is better then the Weber 32/36. I have a 88.5 samurai I just put a Weber on because my friend had one. I also have a my-side 1 with a Harley carb I just need to get a new emulator for the cv carb that was on it. It has a dyna emulator in ut right now I guess. Also I was wondering my samurai highest rpm I can get it to is about 3700 rpms it’s a stick 1.3 I have found the spark advance diaphragm is bad was wondering if that cause it not to be able to hit a higher rpm

Oh and I live in the state that commonly spends all summer above 110 degrees if not higher during the day, I’am being conservative with that.. Lake Havasu City Az I’ve seen it at 128 during the day for a month and never drop below 100 degrees at night for a couple a months, talk about brutal

Hey tony, I’am not trying to be a butthead, but I think you need to give proper information to those who have the 16v engines.. I recently replaced the distributor shaft o-ring with one that was metric, and it was a tight fit, took awhile to get it to seat.. and I changed the housing o-ring also with obviously a new one.. a couple a weeks later I swipe my hand underneath the distributor housing and it’s wet.. imagine how I’am feeling? I did put a thin film of ultra black around the rocker shaft end cap just to ensure that between that and the new O-ring it would seal.. it did not, this time I pulled the distributor and the housing as one unit.. that way when I put it back together it should still be in time since I didn’t pull the distributor separately.. although I’am still trying to figure out how to seal the housing to begin with… and of course I have the ability to check and reset my timing if necessary

Is it good, bad or ugly if I bend open the spring single clamps to the rear of the rear axle and keep the two clamps on each spring in front of the rear axle closed? Read somewhere this can lessen wrap idk

Would a gear shift locker bar that locks transfer case into neutral be as good as disengaging the rear drive shaft. I’m only trying to tow back and forth to the deer camp (50mi away) but want to be as safe as possible.
