Tongue and groove, why didn't I think of that? Definitely going that route. How much reveal between the door and the door trim when closed. Is that adjustable if too open? Great easy to follow video, thanks!

Hey great info just put a 30x60 walk in with shower pan. Thinking just using approx 36”x78” fixed panel. Is LVT flooring alright in rest of bathroom? Thinking cause utilizing pan going without swinging door Advice? Do ya suggest the fixed panel or sliding door? And how about what type underlayment for lvt flooring ?

Pro tip: Standard slope for good drainage is 1/4" per foot. Assuming you want to match the top of the deck to the top of the concrete, start (like you did) by anchoring the ledger to the concrete and then, to slope 1/4" per foot, use a 1" spacer at one end of a 4-foot level or a 2" spacer at one end of an 8-foot level. If you do it carefully, then the joists will match plenty well enough for a deck build and you'll have great drainage.

I really appreciate this thoughtful instruction. There seem to be about a dozen ways to do anything when it comes to showers... I'm going from an alcove tub...removing the end-wall away from the drain and going with 36x60 inch corner base (double threshold)...(and glass enclosure). I have not seen any products in-person...How happy are you with Dreamline? (I'm looking at Dreamline/Anzzi/Maax....with right hand drain and compatible with glass enclosure). Great Video.

Good video. You should try wrapping old 3.5” iron support posts in wood, it gets really tedious, but dang it looks good.

I already have some pot lights in my kitchen. Is it possible to add a different fixture (same wattage) to the existing end of run daisy chained lights? Thx.
@hughg.rection91618 сағат бұрын
Yes. Older can lights can be taken apart from the inside. Remove the trim and you can access the wiring box and see inside the ceiling. Their is dangerous drilling blindly through studs from hidden wires or water pipes etc so if it must be done I'd do it as low as possible and slowly. If the new light is in the existing joistway then you can just run a wire from existing box to the new light

Came to this video strictly to see what size cedar boards you’re using. You don’t mention it and you haven’t responded to a ton of people asking the same question. Thumbs down.

Go for major brand lights. Cooper, Acuity, Progress, RAB, Topaz, etc. Those Amazon lights don't last long. Also, don't drill blind through joists. I'm glad you addressed this, but still super risky in most cases. For all you know your wire is running through the middle of your dryer vent right now. I have cut access holes many times and found all kinds of utilities that would have been damaged by this "blind drilling" method. I will never do it this way and do not recommend it.

What did you use to cover nail holes for final finish
@sergeile_365_to78 күн бұрын
Please avoid doing that. It's completely nonsense. The simplest thing that can happen is that you catch your wires on the drill bit. The saddest thing is to catch the neighbor’s wires from above.

That Ultracolor grout drying time depends on multiple factors. Mix it with warm water and a spiral mixer, outside in the warm weather and you’re screwed. Mix it with cold water by hand and you’ll have all kinds of time.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I just used this stuff yesterday and have to say - it was pretty darn stressful - it's not very workable and it hardens so fast - luckily I was able to figure out that a wet sponge was able to slowly remove layers of grout that were too thick - all in all I was successful, but I have to ask - what's the benefit to having something set so quickly? Do professionals even want this hassle? By the time I had half the job done, the bucket was already hardening and I had to abandon the job - clean the tile - clean the buckets and all tools and start all over again an hour later. UGH! But it does look great.

How long until you painted the second coat? The directions say at least 1 hour, but that was too sticky for another coat. Other resources recommend a full day then sand it again....

So I bought two of these as I have the same tile in my upstairs bathroom. I saw in the instructions that you have to use 400 or 600 grit sandpaper. When I tried that, the sheen wouldn't come off. Is that why you used 220 grit?
