Hello :) did they allow you to refer to notes during the last oral section? And did they give you some time to prepare for that section?
@thefrenchdesi10 күн бұрын
Hey! I don’t recall everything since it’s years I gave the exam but as far as I remember, there are no notes allowed in the final interview section. You might get some time to prepare for the interview though but I don’t remember completely. You may want to check OQLF website for any recent changes. All the best :)

The exam will be 110 multiple choice questions and you need at least 60% correct answers to pass. It will be an ethical exam and will be more on practical situation based scenarios. If you are well prepared and have the concepts clear then it shouldn’t be difficult. Make sure you study the professional guide provided by OIQ before you appear to the exam.

I'm a Quebecker. I pay taxes and I agree to pay for good immigrants like you to learn our common language. To prospective immigrants to Quebec, that you learn French is extremely important for us and we are serious about that. This is not English Canada. Treat us as if we were already an independent country. We are not going to let you alone. Immigrating and adapting to a new culture is hard but we are not abandoning you. Intégration goes both ways. You put effort and become better and we put effort by opening our hearts to you. Et maintenant à toi, cher auteur de cette vidéo. Bienvenue dans notre pays et merci d'être un modèle pour tous les futurs Québécois !

If you have all the required documents proving your legitimacy then it shouldn’t be a problem. You just have to make sure that you show right French proficiency before applying. It’s the same thing unlike other study programs where you have to show IELTS as English language proficiency.

Hi cost of living in Montreal is pretty cheap as compared to other provinces. If you are a permanent resident then medical is free but waiting time is at least 7 hours in emergency. 1 bedroom apartment will cost you around 1500-1800$ per month. If you are covered under RAMQ, your medicines are covered under insurance.

How do we gain 2 years exprience under the supervision of a licenced engineer in QC? Does Oiq help us to find the job and the supervisor or it is on our own?
@thefrenchdesi3 ай бұрын
Hi, if you are having a technical job then chances are that there should be a licensed engineer working there. You have to approach him and ask if he is ready to supervise you. If the company you work for does not have an engineer, it’s totally fine. You can find an engineer from outside of the company. There is a list of supervisors who are willing to supervise and could be found on OIQ website. You can email them and ask if they are okay to supervise you.
