What a lovely home, and the afternoon tea looks amazing. You guys need to come to the United States, and visit Newport, Rhode Island (late spring or summer). It is breathtakingly beautiful, and filled with the most amazing Gilded Age mansions. I think we would all enjoy seeing your reactions to that jewel of a town.

Hi Neil and Ant how lovely a traditional afternoon tea always sounds so perfectly English. Those sandwiches were very well presented especially with the crusts off. Wow the cakes and scones looked fantastic. Glad you put cream then jam on your scones 😆 thats how we do it. You looked at home on the sofa the afternoon tea obviously suits you. We really enjoyed it... we both wished we could have stayed the night, the little sitting room with the log fire was so cosy... we could easily have had a post meal nap! The food was delicious and the surroundings just perfect... we were blessed with the most glorious afternoon to enjoy the views from the panoramic restaurant windows... the sandwiches were particularly tasty especially the home made piccalilli 😋 We will certainly be back! Best wishes from us both 😊

@chiefbrokenbrain the magic question! Niche things seem to have an appeal... we love the States and your channel has a unique appeal I'd say! I'd probably hashtag every post with USA and Americandream etc etc 😊

I know a lot of people tell me they're like I like your channel you do all kinds of things but then other people say you should do one thing only focus on one genre but to me that's boring I'm just trying to reach new people like you guys that will actually support me back you know it gets so tired and supporting people and then they hardly do anything in return it's exhausting 😔

@chiefbrokenbrain totally get that... it can be demoralising. We can get 200 views for what we think is a great video and then we see a similar video on a bigger channel that has 100k views and it is hard to know why... definitely don't watch the "how to get a gazillion views" videos as they talk convincing nonsense lol... we do concentrate on historic houses with a few lifestyle videos and we are seeing a decent steady growth... we have seen a decline in views across the board on many channels over the last 2 months but i think that's just how youtube ebbs and flows! Keep doing what you're doing, unique is good, niche is good... we will certainly keep watching 👀 😀

Hi Neil & Ant - Shipley Hall estate looks like a lovely place to visit - your very lucky to have that on your doorstep - its a shame the council knocked the building down, would have loved to have seen it - fantastic video in the snow - really enjoyed - Don 😊

We must've spent hundreds of hours over the years walking there... there was a beautiful chapel too and an ice house but they both met the same fate....a gorgeous water tower survived that has been converted into a house. Absolutely beautiful from beginning to end! Shipley Hall is really lovely, especially under the beautiful blanket of snow. You lads are so blessed to live just there, right next door to this magical place. The grounds there are wonderful. As well as the charming wee fairytale Cottage on the Estate. I would love to live there. It is delightful! I also loved the wee Tearoom as well. It was so cozy & charming with such yummy looking food & drinks. i would have loved to join you lads for a nice hot chocolate & a lovely wee chat. Indeed! I am so sorry though to hear of the sad loss of your dear wee companion, Izzy. May she Rest in Peace. Izzy really is beautiful! I loved the clip you showed of her bounding along & frolicking around. She looked so happy & joyful running along beside you like that. What a joy to see! You know lads, I lost one of my wee dogs last year too, so I certainly know the depth of your grief & the sadness you must be feeling over the loss of dear Izzy. It truly is devastating I know! Thank the Lord though that you have such wonderful films of her to watch, Along with such precious memories of Izzy & her walks with you at this beautiful Estate. As well as, many other fond & special memories I am sure. Those memories will live on & keep her always near & always with you in your hearts. Truly! I hope you both had a joyful Christmas Season & I wish you both a very Happy New Year. I have been watching your Videos still & you were both in my thoughts & in my Prayers. Thank you for sharing another wonderful experience. Blessings to you both!

Hi Neil and Ant we had a covering snow this morning but it had all but gone by the time we got out. Dave recalls the theme park and recalls visiting it a few times and said it was great fun. You live in such a beautiful area. It's great to have a walk when it's cold and snow is on the ground. It's always a shame to here of houses that have been lost. You are right about Narnia it always brings that to mind especially if you are surrounded by trees. It's lovely to have parklands nearby that you can walk in . The nutbrook cafe sounds lovely the food looked delicious I bet it all went down well the coffees definitely warm you up nicely. We enjoyed your trip around your back garden how lovely 😍. @inbetween-days Hi Dave and Dawn! Thankyou so much. We are very lucky to live next to Shipley... we often wonder how different it would be if the house was still standing... The family gave the house and the 700 acre park to council to be enjoyed by local people... the council then demolished the house sadly. We really enjoyed our walk... it is always good to get a dose of fresh air... We hope you've had a really nice weekend and send you as ever our very best wishes 😀 x

Very nice looking dog I had a Dalmatian one time they are full of energy lots and lots of energy He was a great dog though.

We lost her over Christmas, she was 15... it has broken our hearts. They really do have so much energy we couldn't wear her out when she was younger could walk for hours and hours!

I'm so sorry to hear that though that's heartbreaking I'm going to give you some unsolicited advice because I've been a dog owner for over 40 years Go out and get a new puppy you'll never forget her but that's the best way to get over her... You guys have a hole now you got to fill it and the only way to do that is with a fluffy little new puppy 🐕🤗

Hi Neil and Ant we always enjoy a canal walk there is always something interesting to see. This was wonderful a great place for a walk. We love the swans it wont be long before they are building their nests again. I must say we have never seen a dinosaur along the Grantham Canal . The tinsel on the lamps was very festive. Wow wasn't the cottage lovely they have done a great job restoring it . Was facinating to see the Crich stand. The tunnel looked very tight for a barge i bet it was a squeeze when it was a working canal. Thanks for sharing this we enjoyed it very much. Best wishes for the weekend Dave and Dawn ❤
