If he hadn't been about 10 years old at the time, I'd swear the description fits my ex-brother-in-law Tony. :) I really like the way you did this video. The scenery to set the scene. The old photos. The binocular mask. Most of your panning shots are buttery smooth, but that tilt at 1:11 looks like you have a bit of a sticky tripod head? It's not real noticeable, but I've had that happen with tripods. Just a little bit of a stutter in the motion. Got more of your videos to catch up on, but not tonight. I spent 6 hours today trying to get my bus down 4 miles of muddy Texas road that the Google Maps Lady sent me down. (I knew she hated me.) Lot of pick and shovel work, lot of scouting ahead on foot. I'm whooped, but your video made me feel better. Good job!

From the 1980's to 2007 my family had a place on Piney road there in Higden and we spent every summer weekend and holidays at the lake skiing, swimming, diving and fishing, it was home away from home. My parents sold the cabin then regretted it but I got lucky and found a property for sale back in 2009 and got it. It's walking distance to the lake and I've put a storage shop on it to keep my boat with a mobile home for us to stay there during the summer. We are of age that we got the Senior Card to enter the Park free for the rest of our lives and plan on moving there within the next year, can't wait!

@@AllAboutArkansasTravels I just got lucky one day back in 2009 when I walked into that little store on 337 before the Park when it was still open. I asked the store person if they may know of anybody selling land around there and a man standing behind me said I know somebody that wants to sell a property just down the road. He took me to look at the property then took me to the man's house. Me and the man talked for 4-5 hours about our lives and memories of fishing the lake and then he asked me if I could afford $14,000 and I said yes sir. Right now we also have homes in Little Rock and Clinton, were letting our daughter have the house in Little Rock and selling the home in Clinton sometime within the next year right now slowly moving everything over to the lake property.

I really like this video because I'm a geology buff, and Arkansas has some very interesting geology. The Ozarks Mountains are a lot like the Texas Hill Country, lots of caves and springs. The Ouachitas are interesting partly because of the beautiful quartz crystals and partly because they run underground past Dallas and they pop up again in southwest Texas. The Arkansas and Mississippi Rivers have shaped the state. I mean, Arkansas has a public diamond mine! It doesn't get much more geologically interesting than that. btw, I like the intro, especially the way you add different music to set the mood for the video. The rock music worked great for the offroading video, and the pretty music in this one works great with the subject.
