I grew up in cleburne county and spent my summers on the lake. As a teen, i was out with friends on a boat and they went diving while i stayed upside. My friends found a sign on one of the trees about 40ft down. It said Private. It was pretty rusted but in good shape. They took it off the tree and brought it up to me. I cleaned it up and hung it on my bedroom door for the rest of my teen years. Ive heard of dive teams finding old tractors and parts of old bldgs too. I bet if you contacted the memphis diving club they could give you info or possibly pics of stuff they've seen down there. They used to come up to the lake alot.

I really like this video because I'm a geology buff, and Arkansas has some very interesting geology. The Ozarks Mountains are a lot like the Texas Hill Country, lots of caves and springs. The Ouachitas are interesting partly because of the beautiful quartz crystals and partly because they run underground past Dallas and they pop up again in southwest Texas. The Arkansas and Mississippi Rivers have shaped the state. I mean, Arkansas has a public diamond mine! It doesn't get much more geologically interesting than that. btw, I like the intro, especially the way you add different music to set the mood for the video. The rock music worked great for the offroading video, and the pretty music in this one works great with the subject.

@@AllAboutArkansasTravels Got the power steering fixed too. With a vehicle this big, you've got to keep it maintained for everybody's safety. Compared to the damage a 7 ton bus could cause if it lost brakes or steering, the repair bill was kinda cheap. I honestly don't know how much Arkansas Traveling I'll do if/when I settle down there. Long story, but I did a couple of photo projects that were focused on just one piece of land. My backyard wasn't great, but my mother had 10 acres in the Texas Hill Country, and when I started exploring that, I found lots of interesting stuff. Weird rock formations, wild persimmon groves, a cactus garden, even Indian artifacts. I'm planning about a "Five Acres of Photos" exhibit as a retirement hobby. Maybe "Seven Acres" if I find the right place. :)
