Cats are indeed very trainable especially Maine Coons and domestic breeds as well. It just takes a lot of time and patience you can train them to do tricks and things

Hi, Twice a day I leave 1/4 cup of kibble out in a food puzzle that I vary weekly. Is it ok to abruptly end that practice and start placing food down at scheduled times (like I do with wet food)? And, can one of his "meals" be a Cat School session with regular dry food? Thank you!!

My cat doesn't even try to stick a paw in the cup... i really have no clue what to do about it. She sorts of try to reach but never puts the paw in the cup. We did achieve the low 5 a long time ago even without a clicker and we do high 5... but no paw in the cup. I did the sticky note trick without a cup for the low 5 and high 5... starting from the floor to my hand

My cat legit fetches naturally, he just one day was playing with a ball and brought it to me and dropped it, looking at me waiting for me to throw it again lol. I might have a dog in a cat's body idk, but he's a Siamese if that explains. He's like...super smart !

This may seem like a weird question but I’ve always tried to pick up my cat by tucking it’s tail down so I don’t touch it’s butt hole. When you pick up the cat, how do you keep from touching its bum hole ? :)

The instruction on the package of the treats my cat loves says I can give only a certain amount of them per day. And I use this amount just at a certain time every day to train her. I don't understand, how I can use this training then, if I have to call her name several times a day. As I understand, unlimited amount of treats is not good for her. As far as I know, every brand of treats has that limit per day. Am I missing something here?

got to try this on Bud ive never had a cat that I couldn't hold but I got to know Speckles be4 I got him Bud has been through alot of abuse it took a month just to get him to go close to me than I can get him into cat carrier lol

if i train a kitten to adulthood is it trainable?

i’ve always hated cats… bc i’m terrified of them. i can be around them and they always seek me out more than others and that’s fine. but deep down i’ve always been SO SCARED lol. To me they’re just too unpredictable & stupid (not to be mean)… however, i started living with my gf who owned a cat. he just passed away and I feel so terrible especially because i was the only one there with him. I’m thinking ab getting a cat to surprise them but I just wanna do as much research as possible because I want a well behaved kitty. I have a lot of experience w/ dog training and clicker training so now, really it’s just coming to the decision. i wouldn’t be considering a new one if it was natural causes, but our kitty was born w/ issues with his bladder and he wasn’t even 2 yet

Since my cat was a kitten, I would pick her up and let her ride around on my shoulder. She is absolutely fine with it, and I'm pretty sure I could even take her for a walk and she will just stay on my shoulder the entire time.

My cats quickly learned to remove their brake away collars. First they removed them in the house. Then in the yard. Then in the neighbors’ yards. Also, my male cat is quite fluffy with a mane. It seems he is most intolerate than his litter mate who is short haired. Suggestions for better breakaway collars? And also for getting my male cat to tolerate his?
