Any 28 spokes hub would have done the trick (if rated for radial lacing). Just need to do spokecal with 2.25 or 3.25 crossing on the right flange (left is 0 obviously). But 👎Vittoria . No spare part is not what you expect from a respectable brand.

Thank you. I'm not a 100% sure that Vittoria won't sell the hub seperately but based on my experience with other brands I would say it is very unlikely that they would. As for the use of a 28 hole hub: there is of course the aesthetic problem of not using all holes in the flange on the non drive side, but, more importantly, it's very unlikely that the 7 spokes on the non drive side will run straight as they should do.

@maatwielen3396 they will. Radial is easy, crossing... It's a bit trickier. I did a lot of experiments on lacing pattern.

@@treszenrv9401 Ah ok, it's easy to get the spokes on the non drive side to run straight if you start on that side but you'll get problems on the other side. You'll probably end up having to use different spoke lenghts on the drive side.

It looks like you handled that headache situation very well, and properly built a new wheel with that nice looking new hub. I hope that your customer was happy with it.

Thank you. Yes, it's a nice looking hub but the customer should be carefull not to use it too much in wet conditions as it probably won't protect against water ingress as well as more expensive hubs do.

What a coincidence, I had just been thinking if there was such a thing as uneven spoked wheels. It's as if Google can read my mind, a scary thought but wouldn't surprise me if they could.

Hi , I see they selling gold colored ratchet rings that are Hollowed out on the spring side , can you use this newer style compared to older solid ratchet rings???

There are said to be compatible with all DT Swiss ratchet hubs but I can't confirm that. You should check reliable client reviews. I don't see the point of them being gold colored, by the way.

Thanks for the hint regarding heating the ring/hub, that actually got the job done. To anyone who reads this: We're talking about temperatures which get the penetrating oil smoking(which probably, in absolute despair, has already been sprayed all over the ring)

Hi, my slr carbon spoke has come loose, making my wheel untrue. I have tools but was wondering, can I use a normal spoke tension tool to check tension and do you know the correct spokes tensions on either side .

Hello, I use the Park Tool TM-1 Spoke tension meter and tension should be around 20. I hope your rim hasn't cracked.

Hoe maak je het ventielgat in plakvelglint?

Dat zit er meestal al in. Anders maak je het er zelf in met een schaar of iets dergelijks.

@@maatwielen3396 Lijkt met niet handig met een schaar in stevig linnen plakvelglint, gaat het rafelen en zeker niet als je er 20 wil maken.. velglint is belangrijk dat het precies gebeurt, zeker bij racefietsen in de afdaling. Met ponsslaggereedschap wil ik het proberen, 8 mm.

@@sterremonstar Je moet het gat pas maken als het velglint gemonteerd is. Laatste handeling dus. Het velglint ligt dan strak over het ventielgat en maak je gemakkelijk het gat. Gaat niet rafelen.

@@maatwielen3396 Zo zou ik het zelf ook doen idd. of met aansteker afbranden, maar als je er veel moet maken en voor anderen, werkt dat niet denk ik, dan toch ponsen is netter maar wel lastiger..

Ik heb een Cosmic Pro Carbon Disc wiel uit 2017 waarvan op sommige plekken de carbonkap loslaat van de aluminium velg. Kan dit kwaad?

Het is niet gevaarlijk, maar de kap hoort natuurlijk vast te zitten aan de velg. De kap zit vastgelijmd, maar ik weet niet met welke lijm. Het is lastig op te lossen omdat je er slecht bij kunt.

Als je niet precies merk en model van de velg meer kunt kopen, dan is het belangrijk dat de binnenvelgdiameter hetzelfde is. Een andere werkwijze is dat eerst alle spaken ontspannen worden, dan uit richtvork en nieuwe velg tegen oude plakken met tape of tierips. Vervolgens spaken overzetten van oud naar nieuw. Let op ventielgat en linkse of rechtse velg (richting van de gaten) Groet FietsFix073 Gerard
