Hi , I see they selling gold colored ratchet rings that are Hollowed out on the spring side , can you use this newer style compared to older solid ratchet rings???

There are said to be compatible with all DT Swiss ratchet hubs but I can't confirm that. You should check reliable client reviews. I don't see the point of them being gold colored, by the way.
