What do you guys think? Keeping the radar beams off the target work? Or does the enemy still see you on their RWR?

Great Video but your kidding yourself if you thought his RWR couldn't pick you up cause your radar was 20Deg off his location!

...interesting. I'll have to test that with a buddy. I've done that my whole time on DCS and their body language suggests that they haven't "seen" me. Thanks for the heads up. Will check for sure.

@@cptmrcalm From my understanding they can still pick up on the stary emmisions that are emmited from the radar even though the radar isn't sweeping over them. Maybe this is not modelled correctly in DCS but I'm in a DCS Flying school at the moment being taught by an Ex RAF flight instructor and th general consencus seems to be that 20 Deg off would stil be picked up especially by a modern aircraft like an F-16 obviously there are limits to how much radar emissions leak out from the main radar cone and at what angles but 20 Deg seem to narrow to be safe from detection. But might be a bit more black and white with Radar emmisons in DCS

@@nemisis_wolf Hi m8. Took me a while I know, but I can confirm that this technique does, indeed, work. I actually had a moment to go a fly and requested a fellow pilot help me out. I tried different ranges - close to his brick, further away - but it all worked as hoped. All at about the time I would fire - around 15 miles or so. Might not be realistic - but certainly within the DCS, it works.

currently the F18 is much better than the f16 in dcs, it can just sit in the f16's circle even if the f16 is at his best corner speeds. no matter what the f16 will do it cant win by using its best traits

your HUD is way too bright lol. Also, use SCS up-left-down to get into vertical scan. It helps with finding enemies. I've bound a key for the pushbutton that returns back to TWS, as well.

Hi mate. Oh now your asking me -trying to think. I made each mission out of a sandbox. I think the file was called Squeaky's Training Day (STD) if memory serves me right. Each time I flew I changed the jets -added ships and boats etc. I was looking for the good moments of each flight and recorded them - changing the mission for each flight. However, I think you may be onto something here. It really needs to be a campaign doesnt it! I'll mention it in the forums -see if any clever people want to give it a go!

I'm going to be honest. Not the best dogfight scene ever (insert Growling Sidewinder here). I know you just got back into the jet but, in my honest opinion, a better start would've been to start with two Aim-9 M's because your kills took too long and your SA would've been better. The bandits started bugging out because they were getting low on fuel. Remember, "Get the killing work done quickly." You'll get better and more accurate. Thanks for sharing the video.
