Also, just fyi- my hardback books ripped some of the staples out of the slatted boards on the sides so I’ll be drilling holes and adding screws this time to keep the slats in place. I don’t mind some of my books falling- okay I do- total bibliophile! lol. But, I can replace my books. Not my cat.

Thx for the video. I’ve used mine for books b4 as well, but definitely adding cat spaces now. lol

What type of paint extender did you use? How long in the rod? I have to do the same thing.

Thank you very much for this video. I'm facing a job in similar circumstances and I was losing hope that it wouldn't be possible by myself. You gave me hope that, even if it's more difficult, it's still possible!!! Lots of love and hope you're doing well🤗

I really liked what you did with your windows in your creative molding trim style. I'm about ready to do the same to my windows. We just purchased a home and are doing some upgrades. After seeing your window trim design I decided to try it out. I really like it. Thank you for sharing your work.

Wow--gorgeous. I am so impressed with your industrial arts skills & knowledge. Unlike most KZbin DIY videos (especially by women), I love that you give technical details as to WHY you did certain things, your thought processes, the types of tools you used, etc. Wish I had the time and space to do this...but I don't. Maybe someday... Still I use some ideas. Thank you!! Wondering how much money you saved by doing it yourself.

I can't see the point in attaching all those pieces of wood around the ceiling, or using sealant. You definitely should not paint over sealant, & it will be a nightmare of you ever want to repaint. And why same them AFTER painting the doors? Nor do I understand why you removed the base boards. But worst of all, painting the doors while they are closed? This whole thing is bizarre.

Thank you so much for this video. I've been on the phone with Home Depot several times discussing the purchase and/or rental of scaffolding as my daughter is wanting to paint the walls of a skylight in her kitchen (~17' high) Recently we stained the wood trim around the skylight and she got on top of those very high A frame ladders and it was scary and exhausting. I stood on a smaller ladder and looked after putting more stain on the foam brush (i stained part of the window trim so i know first hand how high you have to get on the ladder). I've been really worried what to do to keep her safe. She asked me last night if we can now roller paint the walls and then as I'm lying awake at 5:30 am I find myself desperately looking at scaffolding again, and along comes your video. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to post this!

I used to paint 10 ft higher honey comb/ wasp comb at entrance of my house. This pole- purchased ( 20 ft long) from home depot. Wrapped sponge at top of pole by electrical tape. Sprayed anti wasp ( 14 $ at Home Depot ) on songe. (Then worn gloves, prayed for honey bee and wasp and Sprayed powerful water jet by garden hose 1 day ahead to go from here.) Next day the anti wasp spray by spong at tip of this pole is applied. So they don't make come there again other wise they do make at same place. Saved 100$ each time. ( again happen at 25 ft higher under roof. So used same 20 ft extended telescopic pole on 6 ft ladder. Good to go) Pole cost me 50$ at home depot)

In my 50's I remember straddling a ladder to paint my high vaulted wall up to the ceilings, now I'm in my mid 70's and need to repaint a 15 year old accent red wall back to white...No, I'm not going to take a chance with a tall ladder at my age. I will do exactly what you have demonstrated with the extension pole and the "Paint Pad". GREAT VIDEO! Your wall turned out fabulous 🤩👍👏
