He’s talking about strength, not about hypertrophy / muscle growth. So he’s right. Nevertheless, for hypertrophy you can also increase the total load by increasing the number of reps. Not till infinity, the idea seems to break down at about 30 reps on average, but untill you reach that number, an increase in reps might also increase hypertrophy.

@insertsense 6 күн бұрын
my guess why this is bad is that you can lose track of time and take too long of a rest. if you wanna scroll between sets, thats fine, but make sure you don't get lost. i have a one minute timer on standby for this (i prefer short rests), that i put on at the end of every set.

@@holoscopic. No, he isn't. If you're scrolling between sets instead of staying perfectly still and controlling your breathing you won't relieve blood pressure as fast. Also you might not keep track of time. Everyones rest times are different personally mine is 20-30 seconds to drop blood pressure and heart rate which is what you want to do when resting. Some people will say it should be 1-2 minutes but it's different between everyone. Also if you're scrolling in the gym and not taking sets to failure it shows weakness and the fact that you're addicted.

Throw the shots at head height then. Not chest height. 1-2 left to the body is more economical and less draining on the gas tank
