Don't chuck on the OD of that hub. Need use the bearing bores...i.e. the running surfaces. Then true all the features to the bearing bores

i wanted to use the jaws inside where the outer race is, but the jaws were too big, so switched to the outside jaws. i shoved the end of the hub, up against the jaws with the part that a drill bit chuck goes in. found a steel cone in my junk that fit inside the back bearing race and the drill big chuck, fit inside that. it would be a lot steadier, if i had that support, out on the back side, but dont have anything that will rotate, so just used it to get it centered and tight.. i mostly need a flat surface for the lug nut studs, to bottom out on and also so the hub will lay flat when i drill the 5 new holes.. .. tnx for the comments..

i got to flip the compressor motor out to tighten up the belt, so it starts the motor. then flip it back forward, so the belt comes off while its running. let it run for a while, to warm up, then kill it.. only tried pullin the belt off while it was runnin and got the black fingernail, before the one i got now.. amazed i still got all my fingers... when it gets nice again, ill post a video of how it works. i see i got a butt load of views, on it...

Imagine if you put that electric starting motor on a hinge with a handle sticking out, you wouldn't risk your fingers so much

You may be a great mechanic, but it is hard to tell because you are a bad videographer. No offense intended. I would really like to see what you are doing. Whatever that thing is, it looks interesting.

yep, i suck at the video thing. but like welding and everything else, you eventually get better or give up.. i hoe one my computer literate, grand kids or friends, will come over and guide me though how to do like others do on here and set it up for me. then advise from you and others, i may get it more professional... if you go back to the beginning of the videos i started with, what ive got is a sprint car, iam converting to drive on the street, with a mix of street rod parts and race car parts.. when i got it, 15 years ago, it had been setting in a 1975 gmc car hauler, in a storage lot, in denver, since the late 90s. it was stretched 10 inches and widened 15 inches and set up to haul 2 people and use as a pace car at a race track, but the origional type suspension parts, just wouldnt hold up, so it was put away and never used... i hope to have it running my mid summer. ill post videos as i make progress..

@@sprint4two Well, everybody knows something, but nobody knows everything. I could help you with the video equipment and computer, maybe even a bit with the video process. But if I tried to do what you are doing, it would end up in a junk pile, or maybe your shop. Also I have a very smart phone, and I can barely use the camera, and not at all the video function. My phone is a phone. If I want pictures and video, I get out my trusty Nikon digital camera. I paid $200 for it a few years ago. You could probably get something even better for less today. Also a tripod would be very helpful. My first advice would be to get your phone out of that narrow portrait frame mode, and into wide landscape frame mode. Also, set your device to it's highest video resolution. Well cheers, good luck, and most of all have fun.

That tungsten needs some grinding jeez
@sprint4two
@sprint4two 2 ай бұрын
yep, started at a real skinny, pointed tip, but it sorta attracts, fuz and then gets fatter, so i stop and grind to a point again, then start again, then feeding the filler rod, sometimes ill touch the electrode, then iam done again... yep, need practice and keepin that tip, a real sharp point and play with the pedal.. iam 78, so standing up, do in this, aint ez...

Unless you had it reverse polarity, it fucks up the tungsten. Sharpen it to a point PARALLEL to stablize the arc and dont dip it in the weld pool. I jabe done tig mig and stick. Tig is def the hardest but makes the best welds. Theres just a lewrning curve. You need to practice not contaminating the tungsten. Make a bunch of them. Take a brake and sharpen them all.

you can go direct to the transmitter with the antenna. it comes with an elbow with a sleeve that locks it straight or slide it off the elbow and it will angle up. still needs to the proper length for the frequency, that you pick... seems to transmitt a little further, using the black cable, especially if you can go up high with it, like into the atic and out on the roof through a vent or pvc pipe with an elbow to keep the weather from getting into the atic.. if you turn the transmit dial, higher,, go for a ride in your car and have somebody play with the power knob, so you can tell them, where it distorts.. .. mine distorts if i go past half way, so i have it set about the 11 oclock position, and gets out half to close to a mile, line of site and sometimes, further, but then, i have to have it on mono, or it fades in and out on sterio.... now days, it seems there a lot more fm stations to deal with, so get in your car or somebodies car, that has a really good fm radio and hit seek and write down all the frequencies it stops on. then pick a frequency area that has the biggest gap, between stations, and dial your transmitter, to that frequency.. i had to move mine twice, to avoid interfeering with other stations that have a lot of power.. also, remember, all fm stations, in the usa, the frequencies all end with an odd number after the dot,,,, like 95.1 or 95.3... these transmitters can transmit on odd and even numbers. not sure if other countries, operate that way, or not... hope this info helped, answer your question... remember to measure the length, for best output signal...

I use a CZE Transmitter to cover our park with my Smooth Jazz Internet Radio Station at 969theoasis.com. If you run it at 15 watts with an antenna up on an antenna mast outside you can run 15 watts. If you do that depending on how high it is it can get out as much as 20 miles! If you run it at 15 watta inside you get too much RF in the room. I know because I tried it. Watch out with the 15 watts. I was running 7 watts and got a visit from the engineers in town from Alpha Media. At least they weren't the FCC
