I can't stress enough to buy your sensor from O'reilly's. And not autozone or advanced auto because they're clips. Do not work well with the Jeep clip. You will find that O'reilly's product is a standard brand. And yes get the lifetime warranty version.

Wondering if you could get a little more clearance by unbolting the skid plate (with a jack underneath it) and then lowering the jack an inch or two which will drop the rear end of the motor and provide more clearance in this area? I think that you could do this without undoing the four bolts in the middle of the skid plate that actually bolt into the bottom of the transmission.

WHAT A CRAPPY VID! Where to begin.........Here are just a few points........ YOU DON'T HAVE TO REMOVE DIFF COVER........DO NOT USE RTV!!!......Use correct tools and don't use screw drivers as pry bars..especially crappy screw drivers like you are using........... OH.....and do not pry on diff cover without removing ALL BOLTS FIRST...bent covers really suck ya know........... And what UNSAFE working conditions.... USE JACK STANDS or other SECURE AND SAFE methods to lift and secure your jeep/car/truck you are attempting to repair........... You are a prime example of a lot of things YOU SHOULD NOT DO. Fact is most repair jobs are made a lot worse by the PO's crappy mechanical work.
@AdamAkers2 жыл бұрын
Lol. Listen man, 1. I know you don’t have to remove diff cover I was also changing my fluid so that’s why I did. 2. I used RTV because I couldn’t get the correct gasket near me and it worked completely fine. 3. I don’t have a small pry bar and that screw driver is only used as one for small things that don’t require a lot of force. 4. All bolts were removed I loosened the top bolt so it wouldn’t fall and it could get the cover lose to drain it without it falling into the drain pan. 5. I was a college kid and half the time the wheels were on the ground so there was no need for a jack or stands. I’m not sure why you would come to a video where I’m trying to show people how to do something on their own to save money and say all this. That front axle ran strong until I sold it and is still running strong today. I know what I’m doing before I start doing it sorry I don’t have a hoist with a double decker snap-on tool box full of snap-on tools.

@jso7262 жыл бұрын
It seems that a functioning VTCS provides better air swirls, and thus better fuel atomization...Also it helps with low-end power....if you remove VTCS, you loose a bit of low-end, but gain power in the upper RPM range. Logic dictates that Mazda would not spend so much money on research, just to put those flappers to block airflow.
@AdamAkers2 жыл бұрын
Don’t believe I said they put them there to block air flow. I know why they are there. I’m currently built bottom end with a big turbo I don’t care to much for low end power as most racing is going to happen at 3k RPM’s and up.
