I try and stay about a 1/2” away from the rim of the glass. If things that are sharp like teeth rub up against the painted area it can chip off.

Can I cure wine bottles in the oven to 🤔🤔and also what’s the best paint 🎨 to bye for glasses and wine bottles and for paint that’s not curable which is the best vanish to use 😊sorry I’m asking too many questions but I’m new at this and I love painting on bottles and wine glass’s 🥰🥰

@@mildredruiz1554 you should be able to cure wine bottles in the oven without a problem. Most glass is fine in the oven except anything that might have bubbles inside. I use Folkart Enamels for painting wine glasses but there are lots of good glass paints available as well. Unfortunately I don’t know of any varnishes that would be good for glass that is painted with non glass paints. They just aren’t very durable and can cause the glass to be cloudy and the paint will still wash off it the glass is soaked in water.

Thanks so much. After the paint is cured there is no need to coat it with anything. It becomes quite hard and is washable. I don’t like to put it it in the dishwasher though as things can rub up against the glass and it might scratch. Hope that helps.

Hi Cindy. I don’t put any sealer on the paint after I paint it. The Folkart Enamel paint that I use cures and becomes quite hard. The glass is baked in the oven after I paint it which speeds up the curing process.
