I know you probably won't see this comment, but how do you get the dye to penetrate all the layers? I tried this pattern today and even though I felt like I drenched the shirt in dye, the inner layers still didn't have nearly enough color. There's tons of white spaces still.

I did a trial run with a white tshirt and black dye. I let it sit almost 24hrs and when I rinsed it in cold water the black bled and made the entire shirt black/dark purple. What did I do wrong?
