P254 Itajime Shibori (Shape Resist) Tie-dye Pattern

Itajime means "plank" or "board" in japanese. The original method consists in pressing cloth between two carved boards.
Start by folding the shirt on itself both vertically and horizontally. Continue folding until you end up with a square shape. Apply a board on the top and bottom of the shirt. Secure it in place with rubber bands.
The magic happens when dyeing only the perimeter of the shirt.
