📚 So Renegade Romance is the name of that smutty monster series that you had to block every cover? 😸😆 Yes "traditional" publishing is going to coldly excise anything that it does not think "moves the story along" in a profitable way. Books that are maybe full of clunky stuff but are uncensored for content can be found in the non-"traditional" publishing world

Haunting Adeline (Cat and Mouse duet) by H.D Carlton! It’s a very dark and spicy romance! You absolutely have to check trigger warnings through, it’s dark dark🫢

We love an unhinged cover. lol Also obsessed with your Junji Ito shirt! And I totally feel you about A Soul to Heal but it does get better. There is growth in her character. But she is difficult to like at first.

I tried reading one of the honey badger books a few years ago, I need to know if it's good when you get to it! I only got a few pages in. Very jealous of Aliens: Music of the Spears that one is harder to track down. Cold Forge is THE BEST.

I just finished Under the Oak Tree! I enjoyed it but a lot of folks do not 😅 There is some dubious consent at the first and it's very slice of life throughout the rest and our poor girl Maxi has been abused her whole life so she's real meek. But there is some growth! My second Spark book is also off the spine a little like that!

I read Heart’s Prisoner this year and it was pretty dark and pretty great! There is serious build up to their relationship and the FMC spends most of the book legit scared of the alien MMC! It’s so good!❤

The whole stay a spell series by juliette cross is sooo good, I loved the second book in particular, the vampire guy in that one is my fav!
