What makes online fun is that each player is completing their own game. You're both just doing it at the same time, together but not really together, meaning you dont have to worry about the other player stomping on your head or starting a moving platform without you. The most you do is save each other's ghost. Everything else is just playing alongside each other. I love it! Myself (green yoshi) and a stranger (blue yoshi) just spent a good hour playing alongside each other. We followed each other to each level. If I got too far ahead, I'd wait for them to catch up. Then we lost each other, but it was fun while it lasted!

Had a Luigi who kept pace with me throughout an entire level while I was Mario. Couldn't have been more perfect. We played through the entire stage from beginning to end almost in sync. Only got briefly separated once.

So, there was this yoshi who was sending smileys in map at the mines, and a toad and I (Toadette) also did the same, he called us with the megaphone emote, and we lose toad because he didn't follow but I followed the yoshi, (names magolor) and we both have played in that time all the game around to the second piranha level at special world, so we played two levels together by the global map till Nintendo cutted out out connection (literally making the other one despawn from the map to you) and I always when someone helps me beat a level at the end RUSH to add them but then magolor already sended me the friend request, and we played together on the friend party's, I even used nab it to keep up with him, and that's something I do NOT do to anyone, only him and a family member, and he got to the final badge level before me, but I have already played but in another account without online because it was a co-op with that one family member, so now that I reached it we don't connect anymore, he still conecta but we just don't coincide but I'm waiting for him to connect to play the final level with him, my plan is being some days chronically online but on nintendo so I can see him, also since you can't invite to a wonder party we invite each other with the super nintendo emulator the online subscription nintendo gives, and I don't know anything bout him but we just talk in emote language, but i have Explorer toadette as a pfp of my account and he changed to captain toad, and If someone plays as Mario, the other one with Luigi, one with peach, the other changes to daisy, same with toads and If he uses yoshi I use nabbit, I hope to coincide online times with him so I can play with him the final level, I miss playing with him :c

Mario Wonder Multiplayer is possibly one of the greatest things besides the actual game itself. When playing with a friend, I got confused on one of the Search Party levels as to where the last Flower Coin I needed was, so I just began using the “?” emote to be clear about my intentions... and then this blue Toad just came up to us and showed us how to get every single one of those coins. I was SO happy. Super Mario Bros. Wonder should belong in a museum.

Some of the best interactions I've had were in the flower coin search rooms, where I've gotten to actively help people find some of the tricky ones, and have had others help me (common practice is to put standees in places that show said secrets). Easily the best one I've had is the one where you have to use a drill mushroom to go through what looks like a solid wall to get a flower coin. That was an absolute pain for me to find, and getting to save a couple other players from going through that same torment felt pretty nice.

The search party levels are the best for this!! People have helped me find the secrets, and I have helped so many people as well! You feel so rewarded when you finally see the person managed to understand your message and finish the level.

I've had such a nice time playing with others online. Very kind people! Though, nobody showed me hidden areas. (I found the vast majority, and the ones I didn't, I saw RTGame be shown.)

It really is a fantastic thing, that will someday be lost when nintendo pulls the plug (and/or people lose interest in the game because it's not new anymore) I could NOT have gotten through the final challenge without help. no way, no how.

this game is just wholesome. Right now I was playing as Mario and going through casual levels racking up purple coins for completing the standees collection and I just went to Muncher fields (one of my favourite levels both aesthetically and by design) and I was with this japanese guy playing as Peach. When we got to the end they were wondering what the pow block pipe was for so I showed them the secret 10 coin and they started spamming happy emotes

There was a mario that was struggling with a level so i stood behind each jump so if he failed he could just fly to me and continue i sat through the whole level with him and at the flag we spammed the hell out of the smiley face
