a neat Mario Wonder online interaction

I've been having a ton of fun with mario wonder, some cool online interactions as well. earlier i was trying to get some footage of a hidden area in Piranha Plants on Parade, the second level in the game, when I stumbled across another player who wasn't aware of the secret. this is simply a little playback of how it went down, cause i love seeing these online interactions. let me know if you've had any similar experiences :)

So I left the sercret exit and showed him that he needed the wonder flower. I walked him through then showed it to him. he SPAMMED THE HELL out of that smiley face emoji and now we’re friends

It’s amazing how as soon as trolling becomes impossible everyone you meet is just the nicest person ever. I love going through the search party levels in multiplayer. My favorite moment was in the pipe park search party when I figured out you were supposed to push a pipe, and I got to show everyone. We had been stuck on that for about 5 minutes, so it felt really good and we all got excited.

I remember one time in Mario Maker 2 when I was doing a VS race as Mario against a Luigi. We were both doing the last part of the level and struggling with it, and on one attempt I decided just to carry him as I went through the level and I managed to make it to the end on that attempt. I tried giving him the win, but I accidentally threw him over the goal and into a fire bar, killing him. I felt so bad and considered waiting for him to come back, but I ultimately decided just to end the race. I said Sorry! afterwards and after a bit he replied with No Worries! It was quite wholesome and one of my better experiences with Mario Maker 2 online for sure.

I remember that on a secret level where we were turned into goombas, everyone just naturally starting helping eachother. I was the designated anchor, because we couldnt place down standees. When one of us got through a tough obstacle, we all just ghosted to them.

I love the interactions in this game so much. 1. It makes sense no matter what language you speak 2. The existence of only 4 emotes makes it so you have to find creative ways to give information which makes for unique experiences which I'll remember for wayyyyy longer than any text chat

They’re like the equivalent of a guy watching you play and commentating over your gameplay. Their voices also don’t get tiring. If you hate the Talking Flowers, I would genuinely be shocked. They’re such a neat feature that I enjoy.

The search levels were especially fun. Figuring out the secrets together and guiding each other to them. Too bad I'll never be able to do them again, now I'd just be showing people what I already know which isn't fun for either of us. Showing off secrets you discovered earlier is one thing in a normal level, but the search levels are all about the discovery.

I had a very similar interaction in one of the SEARCH PARTY levels where you need to drill into a moving platform. The player that was using Toad was doing everything they could to show me what I had to do to discover that trick. It’s these really crazy moments that have made me really fall in love with the game. I wish it was much much longer.

I played offline until I 100%ed the game and now I just go back into levels and help new players beat them. It's pretty fun just standing around and being a free revive for people. And getting a high heart score is a wild flex that I'm shooting for.

I had almost this same exact interaction on day one. Turned online on after the first level. Ended up here and noticed some people in the foreground. Took me forever to notice a peach player was trying to show me this the whole time. Think they hung out with me for like 5 minutes till I figured it out. I had a similar interaction in the Beware the Rifts level in the Fungi Mines. This Peach player was near the area with the second 10-Coin and I could clearly see he was hearing the Talking Flower but didn't know how to get up. I used the horn emote to try and get his attention but it wasn't having much effect, so I ran to find a Koopa shell, brought it over and started repeatedly throwing it up towards the ? Block so it was obvious what I was doing. He then ran further back in the level, came back with a Koopa shell, threw it at the ? Block and climbed to the 10-Coin. I sent him off with a smile emote and went on with my business. It's sad to lose a lot of the trolling potential of the other games, but moments like that plus the ability to move independently of others' camera makes me love the online nonetheless.

I had a similar experience with two players who stuck by my side till I got it which I did without the effect cause didn't know it spawned like that. But again bless these two players heart for encouraging me all the way cause they could have just left me knowing I knew it was there but no, they stuck with me up to 10 mins till I got it and we made it together spamming our emotes. What makes online fun is that each player is completing their own game. You're both just doing it at the same time, together but not really together, meaning you dont have to worry about the other player stomping on your head or starting a moving platform without you. The most you do is save each other's ghost. Everything else is just playing alongside each other. I love it! Myself (green yoshi) and a stranger (blue yoshi) just spent a good hour playing alongside each other. We followed each other to each level. If I got too far ahead, I'd wait for them to catch up. Then we lost each other, but it was fun while it lasted!

I've been playing online with the jet run badge and it's just kind of fun to run around with other people in your game. Also, it actually would've been possible for Luigi to get up there without the pipe. If you just keep spamming the twirl button you get the twirl-wall-jump. If you manage to get two twirls in before you make contact with the wall again, you actually gain height. Just keep doing this and eventually you'll make it on to whatever platform you're wall jumping on.

i remember this one time me and a mario were together the entirity of this one level in world 3. we saved eachother any time we fell off, spammed the heart emoji, the whole shebang. eventually we neared the end of the level and i jumped off to hit the flagpole, leaving my mario companion behind. i then heard him fall off, and i didn't have enough time to go back and save him. that will haunt me for the rest of my life. mario, if you're out there, i'm sorry

Mario Wonder Multiplayer is possibly one of the greatest things besides the actual game itself. When playing with a friend, I got confused on one of the Search Party levels as to where the last Flower Coin I needed was, so I just began using the “?” emote to be clear about my intentions... and then this blue Toad just came up to us and showed us how to get every single one of those coins. I was SO happy. Super Mario Bros. Wonder should belong in a museum.

There was this Toad online & we were helping each other out in some level as we both kept dying in a badge stage over & over. It's fun having others with you cheering everyone on, I wait around the flagpole so me & a group touch the top of the flagpole. It makes the harder sections of some levels more bearable.

When I first played world 1, I didn't play with online, but I thought I had completed everything in the world. I went back and started replaying the levels with online when I didn't want to progress further because I was waiting to continue with a friend. I had quite a bit of fun seeing how everyone else were approaching the levels. I ended up going back to the very beginning of the world, and I noticed a Luigi player took a path on the map that I didn't know was a thing. Immediately I figured out there was a secret exit in 1-2 (I mean, it is 1-2 after all, they love their secret exits there). I was struggling to figure out where to find it, but then I came to the realization that the wonder flower causes pipes to appear near the end of its section. I was trying to enter them. I could just FEEL the secret was there, but where? And then a Luigi player was spamming the megaphone icon and looking up towards that section. Instantly I knew what they were trying to show me. We ended up finishing the level together and I spammed the happy face too. Since then, anytime I wasn't playing with my friend, I was playing with online. It's just fun, more than I thought it would be.

The best part is that this video has Luigi and daisy in it together :) Fr tho, online is so much fun, In the final badge marathon level in the final section (the dreaded invisibility section) I had a hard time completing that part, it took me 20 attempts to do it, on the last one a Luigi came by and we did it together, I fell again but managed to get through with the ghost because Luigi was there with me, we both spammed the smiley face afterwards, what a time to be alive :D

Some of the best interactions I've had were in the flower coin search rooms, where I've gotten to actively help people find some of the tricky ones, and have had others help me (common practice is to put standees in places that show said secrets). Easily the best one I've had is the one where you have to use a drill mushroom to go through what looks like a solid wall to get a flower coin. That was an absolute pain for me to find, and getting to save a couple other players from going through that same torment felt pretty nice.

I was online as yellow toad (yellow toad main here) and a blue toad couldn’t get the secret exit in this same course he didn’t get the wonder effect yet so I waited then I showed him he’s pretty cool ngl
