GENE IS SO AWESOME!! IT WAS SUMMER of 93 the INDIVIDUAL TOUR.. MY BUDDY MIKE NORFLEET AND MYSELF went down to See them (DEATH) at Newport Music Hall on HIGH ST... WE WENT DOWN EARLY SO WE COULD HIT sone CD shops and hit some music shops, and grab food before the show etc... Make a day out of it Well it was like I would say ruffly 2 or 3pm. WE WERE WALKING DOWN the alley or lil ave that ran behind NEW PORT.. Mike and I were going to go get some food and I hear so ething to the effect (Killer shirts guys)... Mike and myself look over we about 15 feet From BIG GENE he was out back gettin fresh air .l Noticed our T-shirts and that started like 40 mi utes we talked and B.S. with GENE..i mean for GENE to start conversation with us notis our shirts and actually just made us felm like we where his buddies for Life.. It was so awesome.. My Buddy best Friend, Mike was the Drummer, I was stoked, pumped, and humbled but my Bud MIKE he was on cloud 9... MIKE WAS PLAYING SEAN RINEHART, MIKE SMITH, LOMBARDO, 15,16,17 YEARS OLD..I DONT KNOW WAT THAT IS LIKE TODAY WOTH THE WEB AND.TECH ETC... We got the effigy of the Forgotten on casette before CD'S .. He heard inffecting the Crypts..within 30 mi utes of being at his spot he played Mike Smith's Drums on that song at 16 years old. We sat in his luving room he would play rewi d play the cassette air dtum lil bit..Go flip atound on set then 15 mi utes he is playing song!!! i sure m8sd him he loved Chuck..He and SEAN RINEHART ARE FIGHTING OVER WHO 8S CHUCKS DRUMMER RIGHT NOW LOL. HE i cant remember name of song but it was gorguts.. Sorry I went on so ling, This made me think about my best friend Mike and I still miss the shit out of him.. Freaking Sucks!!! WELL Anyways Gene was down to Earth and humble.. to talk to a 17,18 year old few hrs before a big show and treat us like his friends ..I will never Forget and FOR THAT he will always be my Favorite Drummer ever! HEY Gene curious why dont you use a drumb cage since you go such a big kit? Or if anyone else knows the answer just kind of curious.. The Drum carpet is cool idea as well but seems like a drum cage would be way better and quicker.

Such a cool down to earth dude considering how incredibly huge of a person he is especially in the drumming world, He's a massive talent and has an even bigger heart. Love me some Gene Hoglan in any band 🤟🏽♥️

@ honest to god, I’ve tried hahaha it’s gotta be either a piece of music he made specifically for the DVD, or it’s a scrapped Mechanism track - which is my running theory since he recorded this before the album came out

Jamming footage. Probably not the forum for a question but I was curious was your name on here 'Rockkilla' before the username update a while back? I would of sent u a private message however KZbin removed the messaging system because 'apparently' some parts of the West were more interested in avoiding their families. So their assumed or actual in many cases? pedophile offspring could talk to minors while by some account blindly raising funds for global or the military industrial complex interests. YT put their foot down on those assholes and now they've moved onto other things like Instagram and whatever other flavour of the month application is on the horizon. If NATO wasn't asking to be hit by a Russian assault then Joe America's kid Pedophile Pete is sure as hell asking for it. When a 25 year old Transgendered man is on some kids social application talking to 10 year olds wearing costumes and riding on pretend horses.. You need a bigger Prison system or you need the people in-charge to man up to their Values more than their way of life. Anyhow back to the point at hand, was that your original online tag? Also great uploads.
