This man’s playing is eclipsed by his heart. Not asking for money directly to him, but if you got the disc or video on the internet for free, to donate what it’s worth to you to a charity. That speaks volumes of his character.

Gene NEVER gets the respect he deserves. Anytime there’s a “greatest drummers” list put out by anyone, he is rarely ever mentioned. CRIMINALLY underrated and under appreciated 🤘🏻😈🤘🏻
@MetalBaller83 Жыл бұрын
@@kimhoffmannandersen5477 Fair point; most of the time, those “top drummer” lists aren’t even put together by actual drummers/musicians; let alone those who actually know and appreciate heavy music. That comment was more for those people and less for those of us that know better lol. When I say “criminally underrated”, I was talking in the grand scheme of things. Of course we in the metal community know and respect his chops. 🤘🏻😈🤘🏻

Thanks for the homework and inspiration! You remind me of a kid in a candy store! Your ergonomics are amazing! When I play anything close to the tempo you are at or style, I have to wear nothing but shorts and I pour sweat after just 5-10 minutes. How are you doing this without sweating? So smooth! Showing the human side of music is also one of my favorite things to see and show. I hate that I miss notes or make mistakes, but we all come from knowing nearly nothing when we start playing, so making mistakes makes me laugh more now than feel introspective. Many of the times the human factor, mistakes, and feel that doesn't line up with traditional interpretation are what makes us us. Great playing! I'll put "Native Blood" and everything else off Dark Roots of the Earth by Testament at the top of the heap. I'm sure all of your other bands and endeavors are equally amazing, but I haven't had time to listen to them all yet.
