How Hansen underestimated the damage assimilating Picard would do annoyed me so hard (any captain would have same effect)

So we know thanks to Star Trek borg that Q was right in the middle of wolf 359 when all this stuff was going on. But I do find it strange that Q did not make contact or try to say anything at all to Picard who I pretty sure Q considered a friend in the capacity that he is capable of looking at folks like that but it's just strange that he would not have reached out to pichard in this moment with everything that was going on with the Borg that he would have stayed away from pichard that's just weird to me

I read 2 different things. I hope someone can clarify. One thing I read said Jennifer Sisko was a Starfleet officer. Then another site said she was a civilian. Does anyone know which 1 is correct?

One cant help but feel awful for Picard. For the rest of his life he had to live with this. It clearly wasnt his fault, he couldnt control his actions, but it led to so many deaths. And Sisko hating him for it too.

I still don`t see a point when people say Q did a favor to Federation so they were more prepared. Their technologies and weapons were developing in a consistent way and when there was a time to meet Borg naturally in a future they wouldn`t be so weak. Q helped Federation to prepare for Dominion war? Well they released a couple of Defiants and several Akiras...WOW! lol

Wolf 359 really was a turning point in Federation history. Starfleet was beaten down so badly they had to completely rethink ship design after that. I mean they hadn't really needed to up their game since the Galaxy Class was still a big dog even compared to the Romulan Warbirds. I guess it was a blessing in disguise that the Borg invasion happened when it did. After that the "Anti-Borg Initiative" took off and Starfleet started thinking in different terms when it came to ship design. I remember seeing about half a dozen new ships being developed as part of that initiative including the Defiant Class and the Sovereign Class. Who knows how badly the Dominion War would have gone without the defeat at Wolf 359 to jolt Starfleet and the Federation out of their lethargy.

After Wolf 359 Cisco hated Picard. You see it pliot of Deep Space nine.

This takes me back to watching this for the first time in 1990. The only thing more shocking that Picard transformed into a Borg was the destruction of all those starships at Wolf 359-unthinkable at that time.

Revisiting Wolf battle. Watching Picard/Locutus attack Starfleet, Still gives me goosebumps. Imo, The Borg remain The scariest-ghoulish episodes of the entire Star Trek history. Still Love Every minute of it. 👽🤖🖖✨🌚☄

Should have done a voyager and beamed in torpedoes around the areas of the cube. Almost every time starfleet is able to transport onto a borg ship. They'll probably shield against it in the future but would have prevented this battle. And sisco wouldn't have lost his wife.
