Thanks a lot!. I've just bought me one, didn't even know I'd need a battery, I didn't know what to do with the cable, I don't know yet if I'm gonna be able to attach the clamps to my trailer, after watching the video, I'm getting back to work to c how I do. Once again, thanks!

Nice review, am planning to one of these for myself. I do have a rule for when changing blades/drill bits on any of my dewalt cordless tools to remove the battery. I guess this is not essential with most tool but drills and impact drivers you have to actively lock the power switch out.

Hello mate, really useful video and looked like a real pain to film some of the work. Was just wondering why / if there is a need to change the sump plug if you can drain the oil with that pump? Is it so you can do a bit of a flush? Just seems a pain removing the bash plate. Don't want to cut corners but also want to avoid making the job more difficult for a novice like me.

G'day mate, Sorry for the late reply, i've been away on an extended holiday. I'm NOT far past being a novice myself, I've only had the D4 for 2 years and this is my 3rd service. I definitely don't think it's essential to change the plug and it will NOT impact on the engine. Bear in mind i'm NOT a qualified mechanic! I did it just to be thorough and because my kit came with one. I think as always these questions come down to experience and opinion so best to make your own mind up I suppose. Have a look at this thread where you can see there are many discussions about 'plugs', 'threads', 'washers' and 'seals'. But in short, IMHO - No. it's not necessary. Thanks for watching 🤠 www.aulro.com/afvb/l319-discovery-3-and-4-a/220314-new-sump-plug-do-we-really-need-one.html

Hi, so sorry for the late reply, we're on holiday at the moment. If it has a Dip-stick, it's either a different engine (not 2.7, 3.0 TDV6 or SDV6) or it's a Disco 3. I'm not fully across all engines and variants in territories. Best of luck mate

Hey there! Thanks for watching 🤠 The manual states: Maximum Capacity 6000lbs. (2722kg) on level ground. (has loads of Torque) I've not seen any other reference to this but where I bought it from does say: Please note: This unit will not suit double axle trailers due to the lack of weight on the jockey wheel for grip. However, i've NOT seen this stated anywhere else, even on the official site. They're now known as ' Mini Mover 3 PLUS '. (upgraded bracket) Official data sheet here: static1.squarespace.com/static/60bfbd0b1720da7008743db3/t/65ba57ea0d88b8638ee1c63c/1706711021660/MM3%2B+Manual+1-31-2024.pdf Cheers mate.

I've watched all your videos in one sitting.i really only came across your story because I was looking at reviews of the electric jockey wheel - and got fascinated by what you were doing. It has been a joy to see how you have made all the repairs to this relic of my childhood. (Yes, should have taken the shell off! LOL!! ) Interested if you eventually need to fit updated leaf springs and perhaps add shocks and electric brakes to get roadworthy. So impressed and really looking forward to the rest of your creativity. And then either polishing the aluminium or a cool paint job will just make it glow!! What really impresses me - and which is very rare - is to see a couple both passionate about a renovation and both obviously committed to doing this together with fun and enjoyment. Simply brilliant. Don't stop sharing your story. And when you do get it on the road, please come by in the Blue Mountains to visit us!!

Hello friend! This is the BEST comment we've ever received 🥰 Did your family have something like this caravan? It must have been awesome as a child travelling around on holidays. We don't know much about it and this is our first caravan, but we believe it is a 1965 'Hot Rod' hand made caravan. It's Kirsten's baby really, the kids have flown the coop and we had a KZbin channel already so I thought we should document the restoration. (I cut out the marital 'debates' we have LOL so we appear to be a wholesome family 🤣). Kirsten wants to polish her but i'm hoping for a cool paint job, so let's see who wins that debate... The videos are a month or two behind as we both work full time so doing the restoration work and editing the videos does take a lot of time. We're in the process of moving interstate from Victoria so the main focus is on getting it road worthy, QUICKLY! I'm looking forward to recording some of the trip. Thanks so much for leaving a comment we really do appreciate the support and hopefully will get to the Blue Mountains one day. Being from the UK, we aim to see all of Australia! Keep Camping 🤠, Adam and Kirsten.

So cool. My dad had something similar so good memories to watch yours. I think it is now well and truly in caravan heaven.🤔 As for family, that you do it together - even with 'debates' is a wonderful thing. I'm a bit biased on polishing (love the look of Airstream glistening) - perhaps polish first and see - then paint if not the result wanted - "debate" counselling. 😇 Enjoy the relocation and seeing Oz - there are so many magical places, particularly if you get off the beaten track, although some of those tracks might be a bit of a stretch for "Hot Rod" - have a name for her yet? - must name caravans before setting out, otherwise they get grumpy😂. And of course, being Ozzie, it has to end in "ie" - we shorten everything! 🙄😂 I will enjoy watching you adventures. Cheers, Russ@@campingbegins

Amateurs. One person job…. - valves out - quick roll to get 80% of air out - valves in - unroll - tight re-roll - release valves once the “tail” of your second roll is full inflated - finish tight roll and replace valves, mattress will remain compressed until you get the straps on

Nice one. Thanks for doing the video. It is advisable to prime the fuel system by pressing the ignition button (without starting the vehicle) so foot off the brake. You should do this three times. You can hear the fuel system doing its magic. This removes any air trapped in fuel system. When you come to starting the vehicle on the fourth button press you should not experience any splutters or misfires. Also, it is so easy to forget replacing the O-rings and it sometimes makes me wonder how many garages bother to do it? And how many would actually go back and rectify their mistake if they had forgotten to do it? A reason why I do most of my own servicing & maintenance. Cheers for the video, it’s people like you that help us keep our land rovers going without going bankrupt!
