I have never really studied the legal aspects of a citizen's arrest. I have pretty consistently heard it is a bad idea but might be something to consider in a case like this. I really do feel that any, impartial, judge looking at this would see that I was reacting to a reckless driver and just doing what I could to get him off the road. I have a lot of footage saved including my driving behavior before I encountered the fire chief. I was driving at or below the speed limit. In no hurry. I maintained a safe distance between us even as I tried to maintain a line of sight with this guy. I was on the phone with emergency services (who didn't seem to dispatch anyone....). We will see what the end result is, but I am, at the very least, going to be supporting anyone who runs against the mayor in this town. I have a few bucks I can throw at a local race. Enough to make a big difference in such a small town. I just finished a 5 year legal fight that I won. Bout time to start another.

@MolonFrikenLabe2 жыл бұрын
Hey man. Sorry to hear of your troubles. It is likely electrical one way or another. You'll need to ensure the circuit has power. The inner face is behind the plastic housing of the switch. Just a couple of torx screws if I recall. Isolate the switch and ensure you have voltage and contact out of the switch when it is depressed. You can do this with a multimeter.

@MolonFrikenLabe3 жыл бұрын
Never heard of this problem in reference to the Hummer. But generally speaking it sounds like it's a voltage limiter in the system. If your head gets caught in the closing sunroof window this system will automatically reverse the glass so that it doesn't kill you. What it tells me is that there's a possible obstruction in the rails that the glass runs on.
@trevishornsby73853 жыл бұрын
Ok cool.I'm watching more videos as we speak to see what it could be,i just bought the h2 Monday an tested all the bells an whistles but the sunroof is the only issue.it's a 2005 an this is my first Hummer an first time ever seeing a window do this.but thanks for the help.I guess I'll keep researching
@MolonFrikenLabe3 жыл бұрын
@@trevishornsby7385 if you can maybe grab the front of the glass and give it an additional pole when you're trying to close the window that would tell me that it's just an obstruction. That is definitely something I would test. Get up on your seats and stand up through the open window and shine a flashlight down in the rails. Look for anything in there that might be causing an obstruction. It might not be anything like a rock or stick, it could just be a lack of Grease or lubricant causing it to be really tight when it's trying to close. That alone could be enough.
@trevishornsby73853 жыл бұрын
Ok great,I will do that,that to pull it close before,its night time here so that pull be for sure what I do in the morning.I hope it's just grease or something like that.I just spent 20k on this truck as a birthday gift for myself an would hate to have to spend more for sunroof repair.Thanks for the info Jay,your a good man

I had two rolls of dynamat storages for more than 20 years I never installed in my original purposed my LC FJ62 and sold it, kept the dynamat rolls untill last month when I decided to install it, it was really stiff but I applied my heat gun and became really flexible and first installed in the roof area of my 2005 Nissan dualcab Frontier D22 The dynamat stuck with help of the heatgun and the roller as I was fresh recently bought I applied the left overs on the front doors inside and around the speakers I bought them between 1997 and 1998 from amazon back them storaged and it works after all those years
@MolonFrikenLabe3 жыл бұрын
The black part of Dynamat, and all of these insulators, is a butyl sealant. Same as you might use on a roofing job. It never dries out. Really cool feature. Cleanup can be a chore but it's cohesive properties are slightly greater than its adhesive properties so if you just grab a piece of butyl and rub it on another bit you want off of something and then yank it away quickly, all or most of it will come off. It is super dense and that is why we use it here. It has a resonant frequency far lower than subwoofers will play and that is how it stops rattles. The aluminum is great for reducing heat transfer and the combination of materials reduces outside noise. All good things except the cost and added weight.

Hey, this amp kit you were talking about with the nylon sheathing, and the screw on rca’s with soldered joints, some of their kits do have that but others don’t, the amp kit you have unfortunately doesn’t have them, I just ordered a 2 gauge kit for a two channel amp, and it doesn’t have it either, my kit is rwk21, but the 4 and 0 gauge kits do have those other things you talked about, hopefully that made sense to you and helped you.
@MolonFrikenLabe5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your response. I would expect companies to have differing lines of kits, just as they have different lines of subs, speakers, and amps. It may not be a Rockville problem, but rather the seller posting a video of a higher line of Rockville kit, only to include the cheaper one. The power cable was CCA so I chose to replace it entirely. I went with 4ga OFC from knu koncepts. Great stuff.
@caidencrawford99135 жыл бұрын
Jay my 2 gauge kit from Rockville looks like CCA but I read the description and it says it is a silver coating on the copper wire to help with corrosion, so my wire is indeed OFC, but I’m not sure if this is the case in your kit. A good way to tell if it is CCA is to compare weights of the wires if you have real OFC.
