Hello from 2024! That buttermilk is probably past its shelf life.

This is my 5th year rewatching and following this recipe. It's never disappointed at any event I bring them too.

I boiled 4 eggs for 8 minutes starting with cold eggs in room temp water. (I tapped the big end of each egg on the counter until I heard a slight fracture in the shell before placing them gently into the water). After 8 minutes boil time I transferred them to another pan with room temp water and let them cool for a couple of minutes and they peeled perfectly but they were too done. Perfectly hard boiled but I prefer soft to medium. I think I will steam the next batch but for less time for a runny yoke.

If anyone can improve upon the jalapeno corn muffin it would be y'all. I never even considered all of these wonderful additions. Wew! This ones got more than just a little kick. I have to make these with my next pot of pinto beans and then my next pot of chili. Thank you for this recipe. .

My mom made the best lemon meringue pie I’ve ever tasted. And I don’t remember her exact recipe but my sister’s pie comes pretty to mom’s recipe. This darling lady helped bring back memories of me helping my mom. The one thing my mom taught me was how to whip that topping. She used a whisk and told me to make mine like she made her’s. That must’ve been her prank on me because no matter how long I whisked I could never get that thing fluffy. Finally, she asked if I added the sugar. Sugar 😳 ? She finished about five pies and then told to put down the whisk and showed me the mixer and reminded me how to slowly add sugar. I gave up on it all except for eating one that she made just for me. 😂😂 Your mom made a beautiful pie. Just remember her hands are strong enough to wring your neck if you cut that large a slice again. 😊 Great Mom, great pie and a great video thanks. 🙏🏽❤ Best wishes and thanks again.

I looked at a lot of recipes and I’m a relatively experienced baker so I can usually tell if a recipe is going to work before I do it. I could tell from this video that it was going to work. And Meemaw would never do us wrong.

One year for Halloween my mom put olives in a batch of sugar candy and passed it around and told the kids it’s trick or treat and the ones that picked up one with the olives in it spit it out cause it was sour

Hi Chef Buck, always nice to see a video from you. I hope you are going to be sharing the chili recipe next that went along with the corn muffin recipe? I was disappointed that you had removed your commentary about the color of the cheese. Its great you are bringing your old recipes back to a newer audience. I've been around a long time. Even remember your other channel that had the short skits and you traveling through the US to Seattle. I've also gone back and watch your channel recipes in sections. Florida, Seattle, Traveling kitchen. It would be nice to see a new recipe from you maybe once a month? I appreciate all that you share and it makes sense to bring your older content to new people watching. I'm just always disappointed because I end up saying every Saturday "oh I've already seen this" I still watch and like to continue to support your content and channel. ❤

Thanks for always watching. My old grab bag channel morphed into a travel channel. I think it's funny how I don't make skit videos anymore cause I always enjoyed it...although I'm sure CG doesn't miss me grabbing her to help me with some weird video idea. We've been stuck in Florida recently dealing with some hurricane related fallout, which is not an uncommon situation for a lot of folks in the Southeast this year. Hopefully we'll be back in travelling mode when 2025 rolls around. Thanks for watching our stuff all these years, and we hope you have a great Thanksgiving holiday

@ChefBuckRecipes4 күн бұрын
Hominy is okay....my mom cooked up canned hominy all the time when I was a kid and it wasn't pretty bland stuff...we've had it often lately while traveling in Latin countries in pozole, which is the opposite of bland, and the best use of hominy that know. Do you like pozole?

Look at the size of this guy's kitchen. Look at his unglamorous electric stove. Proof that you don't need a giant kitchen with a million appliances to make delicious food.
