What an amazing part! I bought your skates last year and they have helped me learn so many tricks, discover new amazing skatespots and most importantly connect more to rollerskating communities! I hope there will be a similar model available at some point because I have zero clue what boot I could get once mine is run down...

Amazing depth review from someone who knows what they are talking about. I love Chuffed Skates too
@MrScholarly2 ай бұрын
Hello, I own a pair of Kismet Barbiepatin Gold. I noticed the axle is not long enough to secure the wheel from other brands. Do these skates require only Chaya wheels? If I purchase Chaya XTNDR Axle Medium 136mm and XTNDR Hanger Forged, will I be able to fit other wheels that are not from Chaya brand?
@RAGNAROLL2 ай бұрын
@@MrScholarly you can mount any brand wheels but need to check the width. The wheels coming stock are 56 and 32mm wide. The XTNDR are discontinued, your only option unless buying a new plate, are the new Chaya Pro trucks, they are better than the XTNDR actually.

I love my chuffed skates I got the wanderer. I had to replace the plate because I was getting serious wheel bite on my inside edges it even wore a groove in the sole. The boots are great I would buy the boots again. I would not go for the complete setup if you’re a heavier (200 pounds) skater like me

What kind of toe stops do you use in a park? My derby brakes are HUGE and would be a hazard! 😅

The same as in derby actually, but short steam and usually you skate them all the way up so there is not danger of touching with them on transitions :)

Good to see you for a while (yes, some of us will watch a 40 minute video to unwind at the end of a day). Interesting how you got on with a heel after so long without. I was taught by a derby skater and skate derby boots, well, shoes really and am constantly curious about a boot/heel to skate. One day... 🙂

It took me about 4 sessions to break in my Chuffed x HOQ skates and to get used to the raised heel. They are so far my favorite skates that I've had. I have the Brunny Hardcore blocks on mine and switched out the wheels (idk the size or hardness off the top of my head). Although the trucks are narrow, I find it still pretty easy to do 50/50 tricks.

Im not gonna watch a 40 min rewiev, but i already know beforehand that Chuffed are my next skates, majorly because of the ancle support and better price than moxi.

@@kaylaf0331 compared to which model? I am in the search for the perfect skate :D
@kaylaf03317 ай бұрын
@@RAGNAROLL I have a Jack 2 with Avanti mag plate and if you get black with sunlite plate and use your old wheels and blocks like I did it’s actually the same price as chuffed jade Hannah and orange Tia boot. I also recommend the riedell 3200 boot but it’s so expensive and the Jack 2 is basically the same thing I use them for my dance and park set up !
@RAGNAROLL7 ай бұрын
@@kaylaf0331 nice that's a superb setup! but the Jack 2 classic colors Boot only is 369$ while the Tia boot only is 260$, the HOQ complete is 360$, that's why I mean the price is really good, but specially consider in Australia, Europe or SA where Moxi and all other parts are a lot more expensive. In eruope Jack 2 is 400€ and Tia 254€. But in the end is not just about price, everyone has different preferences, definitely I hear a lot of good things of the Riedell 3200, maybe one day I have the chance to try them :D

Interesting review. A lot of ppl I skate with. Have said that chuff skates are not supportive. And they would rather go back to moxi skates. After riding these.
@strangerpainter7 ай бұрын
Dont moxi have super shitty ancle support? Lolly arent really made for park. then you need to get jacks and thats a lot more expensive than these.
@judaslink35887 ай бұрын
@@strangerpainter idk I don’t ride either tbh. That’s just what I heard. Like flimsy material. Laces ripping through the skates. Stuff like that
@RAGNAROLL7 ай бұрын
@@judaslink3588 Do you know which chuffed models? since they have these 4 levels of stiffness, that can make all the difference. I would say the concrete wanderer is similar to a Jack 2 in terms of ankle lateral support, but the Tia for example which is level 4 is super hard and supportive. Also from what I heard they improve little things on each release. After 1 month I am pretty happy with these.
@judaslink35887 ай бұрын
@@RAGNAROLL I kno one of them was on the jade boot for sure. And pika was also skated chuff boots but switched too m12 cuz she wanted something harder. Not grilling them at all. We’re all just doing research 🧐.

At the skateshop I'm probably going to buy them they recommend to buy a bit softer cushions, how do you feel about that? (they recommend picking PowerDyne Magic Cushions in Medium) Thanks again in advance! :-)
@RAGNAROLL7 ай бұрын
I don't find them hard at all, but I come from park and I like my bushing the hardest, maybe for someone coming from dancing for example they feel not so soft, but I find them ok to skate around the city really.
@bjorkbrennt7 ай бұрын
I know you covered that in the video when you got them new but after some time, have you ever tried them on a ramp or for jumping down stairs or anything like this?
@RAGNAROLL7 ай бұрын
Hey yes I did, but it's not recommended, the shoe are not supportive enough and the plates and trucks are made of plastic so they are not strong enough. They are good for transportation.

Why are the wheels so hard I'd prefer some krypto impulse or sims
@RAGNAROLL8 ай бұрын
In bowls and skatepark you can carve faster on hard wheels but specially on slides and grinds you get stuck and can be dangerous to skate with soft wheels. Of course wheels can be changed so having an extra set for street cruising is always good :)
