I'm a fan of Stitch himself, not so much of his beatboxing necessarily, but this was definitely in top 8 either way. Not gonna post the rest of what I want to say, because it will be a straight diss to beatbox judging, and I always get hate for criticizing judges in the comments, so it is what it is. Judging of anything that's an art form can never be objective. The feedback about the snares doesn't even make sense. Non electronic sounds can never be the same throughout a track. Guitar, piano, drums, whatever it is. That's only valid criticism if his snares were noticeably out of whack, which they weren't. Producers will even often play with amplitude and other sound properties of snares to give their music a more authentic and human like sound. Beatboxing isn't music produced in a DAW. It's essentially a live instrument. Going first doesn't make sense either. This can affect my opinion as a viewer, but that's not an excuse for a judge. Not even gonna talk about the River comparison. The only realistic reason why Stitch wouldn't make it in would be because they may think his style wouldn't win any battle, but I'm reaching at this point, and no judge would ever admit it even if that was actually a factor for them.

I think “loud” is a negative word more like maybe not the most optimal way to describe his style. I think “Powerful” is the right way to describe it. Power on stage especially when you say he was almost double the power off beatboxers like Maxo is a big flex, not surprised he got in even tho he had a few execution mistakes here and there. Personally I love his style with the crazy patterns and sound kit which is really unique. I do understand where you are coming from from tho big ups!!

Loudness ties into technicality which people often overlook. Much much harder to do things so loud, especially if you can keep timing and clarity.

i think generally Julards style is generally more battle suited and i feel like loudness can have more of an importance in a battle but when it comes to elim which im guessing he is not as used to, it doesnt give the same energy as it would of in a battle i guess is what im trying to say. Will be so exciting to hear him in the future just considering the huge skill boost since last year. He just needs to focus more on his overall arrangement to the set which he is performing atleast when it comes to elims. he can get away with it more in a battle. nonetheless it was sick asf

I really want to say something about Bly Crepsley, but I'm struggling to put the words together. He has reached a point where he could be called "original", but it's just his style. I feel like people are not big fan of it. I am definitely NOT part of the people I am talking about, I like his routines. But that's just the way I feel it.

I think a lot of people didn't realize that Julard placed 7th in the final ranking, so it's not like the judges didn't took consideration at other factors. I think that placement is just right for him since I too placed him in lower top 8 when I first heard him in the livestream. Compared to Blackroll and MaxO, Julard has the weaker execution but I enjoy his ideas better, reminds me of Helium elims in GBB21 cause both of them just did their own thing enough for me to recognize their style

I think the sound system was weird, cause during the livestream you could hear the squeak imo. But maybe it just got drowned out during mixing

Ah ur point about the sound system being boosted on the subs kind of explains why the crowd didnt react much on the inward bass drop at the start, the meow squeak, etc. but went wild on the liprolls near the end - 13:40 Thanks for ur analysis :)

Blackroll and Remix should be reversed. Blackroll was okay but Remix is way better, he should not be lower because the sound system sucked.
