@@stitch_mus1cI think regarding being the first elim, the only way you can reduce the “luck” factor is if your wildcard scores very high in the rankings, since elim order is based on wildcard ranking. That seems hard to control and a shitty factor. But when you have so many good beatboxers, so few slots to compete for and a bunch of judges judging on various criteria, there’s always going to be some nonsensical luck and near misses. Don’t take it personally bro, your art is great and not defined by one moment in one night.

20:01 River got inspiration from Gene. Gene got inspiration from Bobby Mcferrin. Bobby Mcferrin got inspiration from Keith Jarrett. Keith Jarrett got inspiration from Ornette Coleman. Ornette Coleman was born in 1930. You start to see the pattern? Everyone is inspired by someone. It's an outrageous claim to say "your flow sounds like River'" because it just shows the judge' inexperience and lacking of knowledge in the scene. This judge is probably a GBB winner, probably a legend but he clearly hasn't followed the scene closely enough in modern times and doesn't know his beatbox history. I'm so sorry for you Stitch, that elimination was a 98/100 performance.

My friend, from now on, your elim will be my go-to tune when I want to show my friends what you can make with just your mouth in terms of music! I can't stop hearing you in my head during the day :D I have watched GBB since the early days (I don't beatbox) and I usually cheer for the more technical beatboxers (eg. Alem, Napom, Alexhinio, Helium) but this felt like robbery! Your performance touched me deeply, not only with the tune but also with your presence, wholesome and caring vibe. A week ago I watched GBBB 23 battles and couldn't agree that River won with his style and kinda unfriendly/tense presence and now I can't believe that you did not get through when you did this "musical" style way better than him last year (for me your elim is the best musical style representation that I heard). It felt to me like some judge's egos just couldn't take it how good your performance was. It was beautiful and looking and in the comments you could be top 3 elims if the crowd had something to say. I personally thank you for this great performance.

(Edited) Woah, I made this comment before I watched the entire video and then I heard your comment about "judge 5"... So fucking what if it reminded me of one of the very best performances in beatbox history IMO, and what a joke for a judge to say you had a similar vibe to one of the greatest beatboxing perfromaces of all time.. IMO... If anything I would be honored if someone was like hey you sound to much like D-low... like it's an insult, lol. In no way do I think that you copied his style or anything like that... I loved this piece and it's potential! If you care, my issue is while there's so many amazing components within, most of them were singled out and not meshed together. It feels as if there's too much space throughout the majority of it. Thus, a lot of slow, emotional buildup, but a lack of an energetic climax and release. Essentially just edging us. So we still need more!!

This elim Has WOWfactor, definatley one of my favourites - a few upsets in these elims though. Honestly the structure timing and execution are almost faultless. I liked that it was one song 4 mins, my only critique was that one vocal bum on the roll in poly at the beginning. But poly singing (who else is doing that?) Truely shocking to see you not make it. That judge that said about the snares has an impeccable ear. The truth is each judge goes in with a list of specifics that they want to see, your genius was underappreciated on this day. Yeah dude you smashed it! Some of the judge decisions come from a place of ignorance. But I do agree that if your elim was in the middle of all of the other elims it would have stood out even more and maybe received a bigger crowd reaction as well? The pitching was incredible but your elim was following the producer category where everything is finetuned, so maybe it was dismissed, at least by the crowd. In fact it was the first time in the event that someone had competed solo, everything had been tag team, crew, producer. But even though it was first it still stood out for a lot of people, which is testament to how amazing it really was. I'm not sure what the judging process is like but if they were allowed to go back, rewatch and reorganise their top 8 then they'd have no excuses.

I know I’m not a pro beatboxer, but to be perfectly honest, I can kinda understand judge 5 when they said you sounded like River. Of course I mostly disagree, but I can see where they are coming from. The techniques and specific musical elements (chord progressions, etc.) were very different, but I think structurally, this elim has many similarities to River’s elim in GBB23. Open with singing, slow first drop, break for musical section without drums, go into second drop, you had a third drop with the 626 effect (River did not do a third drop), and then end with singing. I will not lie when I say that, as I was watching the elim for the first time on the livestream, I definitely thought of River’s elim. I think the biggest thing you did that was different from River’s elim was how you structured the individual sections. River’s elim was very simple in that everything was in multiples of 4 counts or 4 bars or 4 repetitions… it was very easy to understand. It was like a TRACK. Your elim, however, was a lot more free flowing, often breaking from the conventional multiples of 4. It was a lot more complex, and it helped the elim feel less like a TRACK and more like a PERFORMANCE. Everyone has their personal tastes, but for me, I prefer the track approach. I prefer the easier to follow structure of beats because it’s more memorable for me that way, it gets stuck in my head more easily. I would personally prefer if your elim had more conventionally structured beats in strict multiples of 4. I also think the judges would connect to that kind of elim better, because it would improve flow from section to section and make it easier for the hype parts to stand out. But then I feel like the elim would actually resemble River’s elim too much!! Honestly I’m not sure if there is a perfect solution because beatbox is so subjective… Just wanna say that I’m not trying to be a hater or anything. I just wanna try to give constructive criticism because I really want you to pass next year. You’re a beast in battles like I got to see at haten 5.0. GBB needs to experience Stitch in battles! I know you’ll come back stronger and make a huge impact.

I've just watched your elim and it was amazing bro!!! I could totally see how much you worked on it since the first second up to the end. Your structure was really clever and I absolutely loved the atmosphere you created. It was dope, no doubts about it. Now, I'd like to give you my constructive opinion about your elim, and before doing that, you must know that I'm not a beatboxer, I'm just a guy who loves your astonishing world and follows it closely since the pandemic started basically. I truly believe that you can win the GBB one day but to achieve it, from my point of view, you should work on your technicality to finally convince the judges that you slay in both ways (but forget about it if you perform in front of "Judge N°5" again because you will give him more reasons to compare you with River 😂) or, the other way, would be to work harder on your style and make it "deeper". Technicality would be really useful for the battles, to make counters, to power up your style and all that (but you already know it better than me undoubtedly), whereas the other way I see is that you keep working on your style and sounds even more to develop your personality. Because, you already touched our hearts with feels like nothing for example, so you can do it! However, the "problem" I see is that you need to create more sounds or patterns that you can only do to keep that "wowness" up the whole time up to the final battle, or find a way to combine the sounds you have in an unexpectedly combo or something like that. I can imagine that this is not easy at all and that it should be very stressful having to create amazing sounds all the time when it is hard as f*, but maybe if you combine them with other textures as you did in your eliminations with the "clicks" here -> 3:50 or similar, you can keep surprising us without having to create new sounds from 0 (shout-out to Zero (? hahaha). Either way, it takes time bro. Every champion worked and failed a lot before winning GBB. The important part is that you already have a style, sounds and all that (no matter what judge 5 thinks hahaha), you just have to keep working on it and you will succeed. Don't give up mate!!! From my point of view, you are going on the right path. Greetings from Argentina! Love you man! Thanks for gifting us your beautiful elim ❤ ✌️
