So! If I had an electric motor with 2 shafts coming out either end, and flywheels weighing 40 grams each attached to each end... Let’s say they’re spinning at an rpm of 1000, and they are at a distance of 3 inches from each other… if I have that puppy in a rigid frame, and try to twist it against it’s precision at a speed of say 20 rpm. What force would I be fighting?

Thank you, I did stress analysis several times but still forget stress theory. You make it clear quickly.

Please amend, weight is not measured in grams. They are looking for the mass of the cylinder in the last bit.

There is no kinetic energy in a moving mass there is force Mv squared kinetic energy is the energy of consistent work from a consistent force regards Graham Flowers

I'm confused. You left the exact answers for Q2 and Q3 to be 0. Doesn't it follow that any student answer other than 0 will be wrong? Then you proceed to show the results of 3 students, noting that one student got all 3 questions right. But if the student entered the right answers for Q2 and Q3 they should have been told the answers were wrong, since the correct answers were never given for those questions. What am I missing here?

I am a new Adjunct EE instructor at a local university and I am wanting to move the course home to Canvas to same me some grading time but I don't want to do everything as multiple choice. Nice idea. One extension idea would be to use a formula to parse out 'r' and 'h' from the question. That way you could reuse it over and over.
