It could be your gutters need doing. Toke me ages to get it done through my housing association. Hope all will work your doing all you can.

gary had hid brother up a ladder doing the gutters because we thought it was that lol. we have a friend in a council house and her gutters are knackered and its caused damp and they havent been out to mend it yet and its been months x

@homeeducatingthemadlads5241 well we have just done ours and don't know if will improve damp. I can't think what else it could be as we have had new insulation up too. Sounds like you guys do alot of work in your home, that's really good. It's so costly for private contractors

I recently moved house i downsized from a 3 bedroom house to a two bed and before i moved my local council told me i had to rip up all my floor coverings including my fairly new laminated flooring which covered the whole of the downstairs its was great condition, ripping it up was such a waste as it could have saved the next tenant the expense of having re do it.

We have such a bad problem with mould in this house too, such a nightmare. We’ve been on the housing list with two different councils for almost a decade, band A, there still aren’t any four beds. So bad that in this country working full time, we still can’t afford to privately rent or get a mortgage. I wholeheartedly agree about mending things and I also love to make things; clothes, curtains etc saves so much money.

Every day i have to wipe down our windows due to the condensation. Open all the windows and clean any mould that is growing. Nightmare!

I'm private rent with same issues, the council won't force my landlord. Been trying for 7 years. It annoys me when people tell me to complain. My rent still goes up though. Even though nothing is done. I've 1 year left, once it goes up again next time I honestly don't know how I will cope. Completely priced out of private rent!

Love your videos as always. Real life an how it is. Laundry is a never ending task!! I tend to do a big wash the day before leaving holiday and stay somewhere with a drier so I only have a little bit of washing to do when home off holidays. Now u packing tends to take me days as I put it off and off until til I can’t any longer 🤣🤣🤣

I’m the same with laundry, hang over the top of doors, clothes horse, hangers on the shower rail. Just bought a dehumidifier to help remove the water from the air and help clothes dry quicker.

I could only afford a small one, it has got some water out of the air and laundry dried a bit quicker so it is working. With a big family I'd look at getting a bigger one if you can.

I showed my mum this comment because she knits them and she was very pleased. When I was little she used to knit me really complicated jumpers with things on like zippy from rainbow. The teachers at school used to say how clever she is. She used to knit for pudge and bean and they had matching cardigans and i loved it so much xx

Love that you live like the rest of us. A home is meant to be happy and fun. A neighbour of ours told her daughter to not sit on the sofa because she’d just done the cushions. Nice show home but not a happy one. Trying to fit it all in is hard when you home ed. And half the “clutter” is just their amazing projects and things needed. As long as all are happy forget what anyone else says xx

Love a good charity shop rummage! Got some great finds there for the kiddies Christmas. I don’t think £70 is bad, I have spent that in charity shops in the past. I just think if I’d bought all of it somewhere else I’d have paid double if not more so it’s all good! Xxxx

I love a good charity shop haul! I got jenga from the charity shop last week as well 😂 The suit was a bargain and how lucky to find the dvds you’d been pining over for a tenth of the price. The cheese 🧀 dish is gorgeous ❤

You got some good bargains. You'd have spent a lot more if you'd not got them from the charity shop. The dvds are a very good buy. I love the cheese dish, I could do with one to go with my butter dish. The trouser suit is another good buy. You're entitled to treat yourself once in a while. x
