Interesting. Not sure exactly what he was doing here after pulling the 3 cars out of the siding, but neat video.

I love the Hustle Muscle replicas, both BN and GN. SD45s are my dream locomotive, especially Hustle Muscle. Little Joes are my other dream locomotives.

This is in the area where NJ 18 meets the GSP? Somehow i thought this is connected to the US Navy Railroad from Earl. I'll have to look at Google Earth.

The roof leaked bad, that’s what caused the roof to end up the shape it was during repairs. My Mom was a waitress all those many years from the 40’s through 1975 when it was sold to the people who bought it to become Ruby’s Diner when it sadly…really went down hill quickly. I loved the Silver Diner. My Mom And Stepdad met there. He was the short order cook for as long as I can remember. Gladys And Al Demers. It was a train car! It looked a little wide because as rumor had it? The foundation was too big for the car. What do you do? You split the car, pull it apart and weld everything back together with minor renovations. It also gave them a bigger downstairs where the oven cooking and the dishwashing took place and the bathrooms and refrigeration storage was too. Rest in peace Silver Diner!

Fun fact, if you head east from the plant on fourth street, there is a small railyard. And in that yard is a TON of PBNE locomotives abandoned in that yard. Not sure if they are visible from the road but on google earth they're sure there.

Are the diesel trains harder to keep up with maintenance?

Most are pretty simple. Much less hassle than steam.

Thanks! That was my son’s choice. He has an eye for putting trains in the environment, even to the point of partial obscurity. Rita is one of my favorite spots on the CNJ and in over 45 of years of knowing it, it look his eye to see to it differently.

Conrail SD50 #6829 renumbered into #5473. And it sold into NREX. So that's why NREX SD50 #5473 was involved for kismet train collisions on June 14th 2006. However, it was damaged burn beyond repair and scrapped.
