the best way... if on windows.... "C:\Program Files\Common Files" you will see VST2 and VST3 folders... NOTE this will only show if you have installed the plugins... Now you can make the shortcuts of those folder and put them in the Abel folder and it will scan for your plugins... Well this is usefull if you are using diffirent daws so it helps.... i think installing on the default place of the VST is better then changing the locations coz most DAWs find for the Common folder to look the Plugins... I know its a lot of information but this should be added in this video.... Good video broo thankx for sharing... One last TIP... VST2 can be tricky coz some of them may be OLD and dose not support in the Ableton so it will crash so make it sure you have tested or they are qulity plugins so that you dont get any issues in it... coz if for any reason Ableton dont like the plugin the daw will crash.. thankx for sharing thow i was looking for a solution for not saving presets in some plugins and thats a pain for me lol...

Hello colleagues, I've had Trinnov for a few weeks now. I can only say that the moment they heard the difference I was completely shocked! Any comments would be completely unnecessary after you hear what's going on :) I guess like many of us, I was also very skeptical, but things are on a very high level here!

Are these measurements of both speakers together, at the same time?
@CollectiveIntelligenceMusic
@CollectiveIntelligenceMusic 28 күн бұрын
Yeah the measurements are of both speakers at the same time. I didn't measure L/R independently. I have screenshots of the Trinnov interface that has the individual measurements, but didn't include them in the video.
@dougleydorite
@dougleydorite 28 күн бұрын
@@CollectiveIntelligenceMusic both speakers together is a bad way of demonstrating what is going on. Constructive/decinstructive interference mixed with all other variables turns it all into one big soup sandwich
@CollectiveIntelligenceMusic
@CollectiveIntelligenceMusic 28 күн бұрын
@@dougleydorite The measurements demonstrated the results I experienced in my listening position - which is a significantly flatter result using Trinnov.

Guys, I think you are totally wrong about the idea behind it . The idea is for users that doesn't need more optimisation than just 2 channels , why paying for it? The outputs are absolutely not disabled ! You can still calibrate in terms of level and delays . Personally, I don't want to have optimisation on my NS10 or Auratone. So a NOVA with 2 channels of optimisation and the room is fully calibrated even if I have 2 extra pairs of speakers .

@CollectiveIntelligenceMusic
@CollectiveIntelligenceMusic Ай бұрын
That's totally true, but I think what I failed to communicate in the video is that acoustic panels are SUPER important, but the average studio DIYer isn't going to have the space to put in enough bass trapping for low frequency control - tuned bass traps/Helmholtz devices are cumbersome, expensive and only tuned to specific frequencies (generally speaking) - this device is portable, you can calibrate a room in a minute and honestly - and I have no horse in this race - this has done far more to improve the audio in my studio than anything else I've used. It's just a matter of fact to me.

I watched this video less to create dub drum beats and more to simply learn how to use Ableton like a drum machine for the percussion track. This video made it so simple in terms of dividing up bars into 16 parts (or 8 or 32), and then extending the bars to as many as you require to add sufficient variety for the entire song (I would imagine you would want a few drum fills and rolls here and there too). Remember too, that having picked your drum kit in Ableton, and having created your midi sequence, you can then also find a huge number of audio samples for those instruments - you only have to slide one onto the drum kit instrument and zoom, you've got the new sample. In this video, Collective Intelligence is mostly teaching you how to humanize the playing manually by changing each note's velocity which I really liked. However it is on each instrument's controls that you can add other effects to those instruments like reverb or delay. I'm thinking this drum machine feature, where you are dividing up a midi bar into 4, 8,16 or 32 sections, would also be a great place to create a midi bass line too. So thanks for making this very easy!

What about people who want to map KNOBS to the EQ settings so that they are FULL KILL like a DJ controller while ALSO being 0dB at 12 o'clock)? This doesn't seem to be possible in Ableton because editing the Min/Max values in Midi Map, then throws off 12 o'clock being 0db.
