Question for ya: why did you not blow out the intercooler and condenser seeing how dirty the radiator fins where? Is it an in the field command decision that you are there to do the job of just the radiator only as the customer contracted for and ignore whatever else you may see wrong or needs cleaning? That oil cooler didn't look like it did much cooling with the crushed fins. Once you start doing free extras your are not getting paid for it as it takes time but it would stellar and thorough service. How do you balance all that on these jobs? At some point you have to quit the care factor I guess. Good videos thanks.

Hell yeah brother! Another job well done. That crane looks really nice. That's one thing I never had on my service truck that I always wanted. These days I'm working out of a van instead of a truck because I specialize in Diagnostics and module programming. If I ever go back to doing road repairs you can bet it will be in a service truck like yours. Keep up the good work and stay hydrated out there I'm sure it's about as hot in Arizona right now as it is down in Texas.

How do you figure out how and what to charge for this service
@RCGdiesel19 күн бұрын
@andersonmayorga5948 That is a great question! I calculate drive time, how long it takes to pick up parts, and labor for the job, add an hour or two for unexpected problems, and that's about it.

I swear I've been thinking about going from my truck driving to being a mobile lube tech for CMV. Just oil changes, greasing chassis, brake adjustment, grease 5th wheel and very light repairs. I worked for Penske for a bit and I own my own truck so there's no fear factor.
@RCGdiesel19 күн бұрын
@willmann30 It is not for everyone, but I enjoy it. Good luck if you decide to go that route 😉

for future reference, ive never had one of those chambers not slightly leak and turn into a big leak at the clamp. the diaphragms are usually the cheapest and thinnest you could use, i tried like mad to re set one that i knew i had recently put on and the only way to stop the leak was a quality diaphragm.
@RCGdiesel19 күн бұрын
@frankenstrat25 I will have a video one of these days on how to replace the diaphragm
