Great informative video for beginners. Inkscape svg files can be imported into the Cricut Design Space software(which will give better results than CDS). Learn open source software that does scalable vector graphics people it's the the best option. If you need detailed graphics then use another open source software program called GIMP. The Cricut Design Space software works I guess, however in my own option I would design a vector graphic and import it into the software and you can also import bitmaps too. Also you can find a simple graphic that is black and white for example and then import that into Inkscape with one of the menu options on the title bar and trace the bitmap and convert it into vector. That means you could put that converted graphic onto anything without it pixelating. I believe the term is rastorizing. Hope this helps people and I don't need a thank you.

Fun fact the reason iwata and creos and richpen are all basically the same is because there all designed by the guy that owns olympos. He has a youtube if you use the auto translated captions it's understandable. He goes through all the brushes and what's changed by different brands like the micron has that square trigger now is a iwata original and the cups are different for sidefeed. He shows that the creos style 289/270 as a prototype of the micron.

Thank you for the feedback. I have still to learn stain v paint - my aspiration is to airbrush via stencils on bowls, platters etc that I have turned on my lathe. I have now understood that the adjustment I was seeking was merely the pressure the spring applied to the trigger; I was under the impression that the adjustment of the spring adjusted the spray - sorry to be so dim.

Wow great video! I just found you today. I’m an acrylic artist and pysanky artist but want to combine my acrylic painting with airbrushing. I’m totally new to airbrushing so I’m reading books like crazy and binging on YT videos to learn as much as possible. Already looks like I made a mistake by buying a hobby compressor from Michael’s without a tank! Ugh 😢 something so simple as your top 10 tools is very much appreciated! Paper towels are an acrylic artists best friend too, we should own stock in them! lol I need to find a video that explains… basically everything, how to hook up the brush to the computer all the connections how and when i need to change the psi, paint, cleaning the airbrush, especially that! It all can be quite overwhelming when your brand new to this. It seems most airbrush artist Ytubers paint those little figures, whereas I paint on canvas, so I’m extremely happy to have found you! Thanks so much for your time and efforts to help out us newbies!! i’m sure I can come up with a gubillion questions for you! lolol. Take care, Patty

A few questions that I hope you may provide links to if possible. I paint 1/25 scale plastic car models with an airbrush. Do you have a link for a small filter that can be used with an airbrush cup to strain the paint? What recommendations do you have for small bottles of 2K clear and do they need to be mixed as well? Thank you
@TheAirbrushGarage
@TheAirbrushGarage Ай бұрын
Hi Jim, I am not aware of any small paint straining filters. I'm sure someone has them. I just never had a need to strain my airbrush paint. Also, I never heard of small 2k clear bottles. What are you referring to?
Ай бұрын
@@TheAirbrushGarage Just looking for 2K clear coat that you were speaking of. What brands do you recommend? You mentioned it is expensive unlike the Createx line of products that you can get in small bottles. Again, this is for 1/25 scale model paint jobs. Thanks
@TheAirbrushGarage

Jim, I use Spray Max in a can. It is a 2k clear, it cast around $25 to $30 a can. I use it for exterior jobs and thing that need durability. Like guitars or catchers masks for example. and once you pop the activator in it, it only last a couple of days in the can. I wouldn't use it on your particular application. I would just use a good rattle can Clear like Kylon. That's what I use. I hope this helps.

I boht this because a can of Badger propellant was on offer for like $30! The compressor got around that need and is perfect for my occasional touch up paint on my cars. I have to say, the little manual/brochure that came with it was pretty sparse. There are no instructions about using the press/pull function for air/paint, so that alone made your video worth the watch for this newbie. I appreciate the quick walkthrough of the disassembly. You might do a photo closeup of bits like nozzles nest time, but I got the gist. In short, a great tutorial for my new gizmo. So, time to paint that paint chip. Thanks!
