after walking through a floor of rooms your brain is fried. its so overstimulating. you definitly want a room and multiple days to go through all of it. its very tiring, but amazing!

This convention happens every October and officially it takes place from Wednesday to Sunday. Redline Collectors typically start showing up on the Sunday or Monday before. Those who want to make a California vacation of it sometimes arrive on Thursday the week before. Look up "hot Wheels Convention" on Google for more information. Also please check out the Hot Wheels Newsletter for first crack at convention tickets.

www.CarneyPlastics.com and sometimes the white is a special order. I started using the white years ago when I got tired of seeing myself when looking at my redlines! Also at the time I had a small bedrooms walls completely covered with mirror back cases and replaced them all with the white.

The thing about Redlines right now is that they are in such high demand that spending a week and $2,000 just to go to the convention is not worth it for Redline Collectors or for sellers. And the Conventions are designed for the promoters to sell new product anyway. If you can get to the convention without too much expense then it is worth it. I have been going for so many years that at this point I mainly want to spend time with all my friends.

"Am I being thick" The film clip is described as Hot Wheels 1968 the original 16. So far so good. Here's the question. Why do all the cars have there production dates stamped on the base of the cars, that read 1967? Not 1968. And by the way. I only counted 15 cars on your podium.

If you read the description you see that I forgot the Custom Fleetside and when I realized this the video was up and it seemed very funny. The date on a Hot Wheels car is the design year and for the first model you of 1968 the Hong Kong models have 1967 and the USA made models have 1968. Newbies tend to focus on the stamped dates but collectors do not think about this at all we just know the model years. BTW all hot wheels keep their design date forever. So if you were to buy a Custom Mustang reproduction today it would carry the 1968 date on the base.

@gibby100 … Essentially, Mattel renamed their “Cheetah” model to “Python” after the cards were already printed. Not wanting to get sued after receiving a Cease & Desist warning of copyright infringement from General Motors, Mattel execs scrambled to find a suitable replacement name for their “Cheetah” model…but at that point, they’d already spent $ on these cards, so “out they went” anyway…

2007 VW Touareg V8 - full-time four-wheel-drive, electronic stability control, an electronic differential lock, anti-lock brakes with brakeforce distribution, side and side-curtain air bags, real wood trim, a power glass sunroof, nice 17-inch alloy wheels and plenty of other stuff.

Would changing the wheels and then selling it would it be considered altered from the org cond With replacement wheels or no one says anything ? I know many people put nice wheels on a nice car if the wheels are horrible loving all the content much love and respect 🙏

When an original car that is very nice has original wheels that are not nice you can put better original wheels on it. Try to condition match the wheels. If you are new to collecting I would not recommend it because you can break the axle ends. But NO REPRODUCTION WHEELS!!! The new wheels are for customs and repainted Hot Wheels because a quick look at eBay shows that a set of 4 nice original wheels are bringing $50 so $4 for new wheels is a good deal. A few collectors poo poo the idea but hey a few of everyone poo poo's everything!

The guy that owned that display sold it for $14k. He found it at a flea market, the seller who had this actually had two of them in nasty boxes. He originally paid $500 a piece for them and then brought them to a Convention where he sold the pair for $28k. Best find ever!

That's cool. I actually load gondolas at quonset in rhode island. The trash is co red with a layer of dirt then an orange netting. It's sent to ohio and we got our cars back in a few days
