i purchased these & while i enjoy the ergonomics you do have to fiddle with the tightness on the screws, i had some issues when binding the either of the longer L style triggers it seemed like when "holding" the button it wasnt as consistent & 50% would only register the initial single button press, so after trying to adjust the paddles & screws a few times with similar results i opted to go back to the stock config. love the concept & build quality

@@Daffamalik143 getting round that side for the Vader 4 Pro is a pain as there is nothing holding the stick tension equipment in. I wouldn’t recommend opening the controller that far.

@@BouncingBallGames agree, i opening my controller because of the button stuck from getting a literally drop of sweet liquid (chocolate). damn the stick tension always move and cant get sit in place haha, and the c/z too. it's a 1 time experience that i dont want to repeat

@@Daffamalik143 I forgot about C and Z. I was going to make replacement coloured tension rings but once I saw how difficult it was to reassemble the controller I knocked on the head.

Has anyone who has installed this tested if it works with the charging dock? I would love both of these, but if I had to choose between this and the dock, I'd have to go with the latter, for pure QoL. But I really don't want to have to make that choice :(

Pro tip, while pressing down with your thumb, use your other thumb on the paddle to apply pressure towards the centre of the controller. It has to go in at a slight angle. Pressing it straight down does not work.

I just put these in, pretty cool. took me some finagling to get one of the paddles to input everytime. All seems well though now. Cool design. I know people are moaning about the price, but this is a novelty thing for gamepad hobbiest simply live with the default buttons if you think its alot lol but for me this was a fun thing to give a shot. Edit: these work really well. and them being flimsy 3d print actually makes it pretty dam comfy not gonna lie. Great work! Also a tip for FPS gamers, when your in there just rip those vibration motors out while your at it, cuts the controller weight in half turns it into a feather and no one uses vibration unless your a bot.

This is awesome! For me, the stock paddle position of the M1 & M2 paddles are perfect, but I'd love to see a version of this where the M3 & M4 paddles are modded and placed in the position above M1 & M2 rather than towards the bottom of the controller grips.

Naw they suck , no very ergonomic. The top buttons do not feel natural to the hand, that’s what you want in a controller to not stress the fingers but to feel like second nature.

This is awesome, you're the only one I've seen making custom buttons for this controller. It seems like the etsy shop is closed? Do you know where else I could source custom buttons? Also - would the C and Z buttons also be easily customizable? Thanks in advance!

So, I believe you actually have those first two paddles (the metal ones) L/R flipped. So if you switch them around (put the one you had on the right on the left hand side), I think you'll find they sit actually quite naturally.

the apex 3 looked better, but the apex four has all the features. wish they hadn't changed the design to white and blue, or you know didn't charge 300 for that evangellion one with an actual case and replacement joysticks. For 200 bucks you should get GD thumbsticks.

Meanwhile by never explaining that you swapped the paddles in your video, you were setting people up, who came here specifically to confirm how to put them in, to break theirs in trying to replicate you while using the paddles in the places they were marked. Honestly, I'd just admit I'd accidentally mixed them up and then put them in upside-down, because if you did it intentionally, you're kinda a jerk for saying nothing.
