A non farmer here, just a guy who finds big machinery fascinating. The whole manufacturer/colors war isn’t anything new. That said it would make sense (to me) that choosing a brand would weigh heavily on local dealer support. What else?

Many many years ago In Southeast Iowa Case IH was running 2 prototype machines 1996 somewhere around that time New London Iowa. I wish I knew what model they was testing then we ran a grain cart for them

Bump the fertilizer the same or more of the population increase. To me it's like gaining free land to farm. More corn plants harvested on the same amount of acres. He is very correct about hybrid selection and weed control.

Why? I think efficiency is important as anything, the winner here is Gleaner. The way they thresh is as simple as possible, giving a clean product and not needing 900hp, also not even close to a million dollars.

If you need to combine this big you're farming too much land. I hate how big the farms are getting. Some of these guys that are farming 20,000 to 30,000 acres just tell me that they ran 15 other farmers off the land. I could make such a good living on 2000 good acres of land. No I wouldn't have a million-dollar combine but you can get nice equipment that works good in his comfortable to run. The only new major piece of equipment are farm ever had was found in 1976.

I've been doing 15-in corn in North Dakota for 10 years. There is a learning curve it's not just a simple as increasing your population. You must absolutely increase your fertility as you increase your population and hybrid selection is critical You need upright ears. I noticed the bigger you'll increases in marginal land which may surprise some people. Crop canopy is excellent You could put down a good pre emerge herbicide and you're done spraying. Probably the biggest challenges the extra residue after harvest

It's nice. No doubt about that. All the computer tech and electronics = constant problems down the road. Late 90s to early 2000s was the last of tractors that were 100% engine power. No computer to say oh I need oil change. Shuts off engine until a service guy comes to fix it. Screw that crap. No one needs a computer to tell you what you can and can't do. That's why older equipment is better.

Well im not sure about double rotor, New holland had trouble with ricks. If a little slips by it was toast, why i liked IH cause of big one could swallow a big rockband keep on ticking.

This biased and false advertising… obviously it’s all highway miles… and anyone who knows cars and has common sense knows highway driving greatly reduces ware and tare. It’s an anomaly to compare this to others. Do your research and you will find these are lipstick on pigs. They look good, but are not durable and do not hold up. That is proven by how poorly they retain their value and what they going through the auctions for. These are a poor investment, stay away from. Let your research do the talking. Jeeps are not what they used to be quality wise. All went down hill after they were bought out in 2005. Nothing on a Jeep is Jeep, except what the letters spell

@Spacecadet0720 the 3.0 inline and some of the 6.4s have been terrible, it's build quality forsure, I have a 19 ram 5.7 with 80k on it, perfectly good
