Minnesota sucks. I’m moving next year. The men act like the women here. Very fake and two faced. Both. Cannot stand the people here. Seems like you would fit in hun 🤣. Like I said. The men act like the women.

Minnesota 😂 Oh, hell no! We have the Yankees the Mets the Knicks the Nets the Rangers the Islanders Restaurants of all different kinds of Cuisines ,Theater and I've never been mugged! The people get along the Janitors make 30$ to 35$ an hour with medical insurance the Sanitation workers that work for the city make way more than that and our winters are not going to be bad in fact it's spring time out here!

Keep in mind there is open enrollment in Minnesota. You can enroll your kid into any district no matter where you live. This includes Wayzata. Yes, the "transfer into" district doesn't have to accept a transfer application if it lacks space. If you wait until high school, you'll likely not get it. But once a child is enrolled in a district, the district must keep them. Lots of people open-enroll in kindergarten or 1st grade, and keep them there through high school. That strategy generally works. Minnetonka was initially laid out with large lots (1 acre and larger) because it was intended that every lot would run on its own well and septic. Nowadays every home has municipal water/sewer, and thus many large lot owners have been subdividing their large lots. Part of Minnetonka lies within the 494 corridor. If you work downtown, this makes it very convenient.

Hold!! I’m born and raised here. And the black lady experience is above standard until you date! Most black men here date outside their race aka not you sis! 😮 If you willing to date outside your race then you have options! Like our successful Hispanic or Asian populations who love they melanated ladies!😊 So new coming brothers if you want some soul food, you might start by not passing us up! We can burn up north here! This is the heartland of the country! Farm fresh! So just a little something to consider.

@3:00 I even am starting to get this from my nieces, I've known them since they were babies. My own nieces. But think about it they spend more time with their school mates, more shared experiences, more things to relate too And I know for sure I don't agree with base 1/2 of all the liberal absolutes of MN. It's not hell on earth, but that's not what I'm saying Family takes a backseat to friends and social circles. This extends to the economy/ workplace

Let’s keep it real as off 2025 the rent and prices of home are not cheap. It’s known as a “ welfare state” of the Midwest but if you’re hardworking middle class you will get NO help from MN government. Income tax is high. This year winter is bad last year was mild so it’s a gamble. Twin cities crime rates are getting higher so the nearby suburbs are expensive but safer. The traffic is getting bad. For me I am trying to move because I cannot handle the cold and lack of sunlight. Rural Minnesota is very very white almost no diversity 😅.

Hey fellow Minnesotan. As someone getting free college here, I can not complain. I lived in KCMO before here and there are nothing but pros for me. MO was way too hot and I didn't like that in the summer. The bugs are massive there as well. It gets so humid. MN summers are way nicer. MN & MO look very similar, but MN takes way better care of our parks. It isn't common in MN to see trash everywhere and needles in the parks like in KC. I also like how I got paid way more living here as the jobs pay better than in MO. Lastly, when it does snow MN obviously takes care of it quickly unlike in MO where the roads stay slick when it snows on occasion as they don't have the manpower to deal with it.

One of my biggest reasons for not leaving the Twin Cities, besides family, is that it is like living in a National Park. Sure we don't have mountains, but there are lakes, rivers, bluffs, and waterfalls with a multitude of trees, plants and wildlife. Many lakes and much of the riverfront are publicly accessible park land, with walking, biking, and hiking trails. These areas are beautiful regardless of season. I've been in a lot of other cities in the U.S.A. and few of them seem to have the natural beauty of living in Minneapolis or St. Paul.

Been born and raised by my mom and our family since 98. Minnesota is and will forever be my home and even my mom has had that talk with me one day saying “one day you don’t want to have a house anymore here else?” And I was like “maybe but this is my home state and I don’t plan to leave even as an adult” but the fact that this state can be chill to live in (no pun intended) and we have nothing HUGE in terms of reasons to visit but you are totally write about the food people here make HELLA tasty foods. That and I would say we have some good areas too in terms of walking and sight seeing. And the history center is nice too. But personally my favorite thing about this state is is quite literally in the upper middle of the country next to the Canadian border. So in terms of safety it makes me happy and comfy

Well, one of the largest targets in a war would be where the nuclear weapons are kept. It’s not about attacking cities and people it’s about making countries incapable to fight and defend themselves. And our nuclear defense is among other States close by, also in North Dakota - so Minnesota wouldn’t survive that one either.
