😅 that's why y'all have to just be yourself, don't change a got damn thing, you're doing yourself a disservice changing who you are for people, I got jokes for days for they're ass. A lot of them have anxiety and don't know how to approach you, just have the confidence to say what you feel. F*** they're thought's

Blacks are notoriously racist and make many environments toxic and I’ll bet you were a DEI hire.🇺🇸

19:39 I've heard a Romani friend of mine say something similar seeing another brown person. As part of the LGBTQ (she is too) I can relate on a level seeing a rainbow themed item or something. But of course most of the time we can also choose to hide that specific minority status if we don't feel safe. But yeah I want to be the kind of person who wants to be an ally to others. One of the reasons I watch content like this so I could be better at it.

14:20 A co-worker of mine is of Somali descent, and she once told me she thinks she has a resting bitch face. I don't think she does, quite the contrarty actually. Now I wonder if it's just something other white people have told her.

I'm in the New Orleans area and I'm a white woman who has had many jobs (more than 5) and I've been racially the minority in all of them except for two. I've had beef with certain coworkers/managers but the majority of the rest of them were/are awesome. And I've even had some major beef at the two jobs in which everyone was white like me. So if my life has taught me anything, certain people are just toxic and most other people are awesome and it has nothing to do with the way they look. I'm grateful that I have my life experiences as a constant reminder to not believe in stereotypes. I'm sorry that you had to go through everything that you detail in this video. I'm glad that you have an emotional outlet like KZbin to unpack how all of that made you feel. And I'm glad you have a comments section that supports you.

I know this is old, but man, it still hits home even after 6+ years in the engineering field. I think 3 things now, 2 things in the future will always be stacked against me personally: 1) young(er than most of my peers); 2) Black; and 3) woman. It's exhausting. And what's even worse is having people (people who don't relate on all or even any of the aforementioned characteristics) comment on your experience that they "know people" who've never been limited by those things.
