BAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Nice. Came here for the PRS lefty content. You didn't disappoint.

That original 54 is a hardtail version, though I can discern much difference in sound between the two in this video.

594 sounds more open and focused. Epi sounds more nasal, honky and congested. Matter of preference.

First of all, why would you play a left-handed guitar upside down with your right hand? Play it the right way, and it would sound the same as a right-handed guitar.

Like Darrenhunt7838 mentioned. The AV2 is definitely brighter. How about the physical aesthetics? Which is lighter and are the neck the same feeling and finish?

The '54 still has that classic sparkle and clarity, while having a more balanced sound overall, with some warmth in the low end. Sounded killer on the 3rd Stone at the end! New one sounds great too! Makes me wonder what the '54 sounded like when brand new.

Boy that's the cleanest 1954 Strat I've ever seen. I'm 70 too. Wish I looked that good 🙂

I am patiently waiting for mine to arrive. Ive seen enough vids to know that this isnt just another MIM Strat, thats been beat up.

is it possible to use only 6 strings on one of these? i’d like the option to switch. i assume it’d need a truss rod adjustment
@humorustrout.5 ай бұрын
Yep just remove the octave strings, might need a truss rod adjustment.
@humorustrout.5 ай бұрын
However the nut is cut for 12 strings so the remaining 6 strings will feel a bit differently spaced out than how a 6 string nut would be.

Nice playing! They both sound really good to me. Fender did a great job with the 54 inspired pickups, pretty faithful to the OG while still having some flavor of its own.
@CandMMusicCenter8 ай бұрын
Thanks! Yes they both sounded and played great. Was very surprised how close the neck was on the reissue to the original. Are they Identical? No. Are they both Phenomenal guitars? Absolutely! Thanks for tuning in!
@identifiesas65.wheresmyche957 ай бұрын
The originals pickups are hand wired so none would sound exactly the same anyway.

Fake one(not sure) 1.the pick guard looks fake 2.no martin logo on the headstock 3.behind the headstock looks weird 4.this fret board design is not familiar with martin Tell me if I am wrong

We're actually an Authorized Dealer From Martin, and this one came in sealed straight from factory to us. The D-42 Special does have the ornate pick guard and also does not feature the Martin Logo on the headstock. You can check this out also on Martins website. Beautiful guitar through and through and thanks for checking it out!@@ParkourRhett

Nicely played and recorded. This model seems to be a bit of a sleeper, but I think they have a great sound for such a built guitar. Post more vids. Thanks.
transitions are very distracting and ruin the video
