WOW. Thank you thank you thank you. I looked everywhere on line and I had never found ANY instruction on this anywhere. You are awesome. I hated making HRTs. I made them once and they looked horrible. Now I know how to trim them. I will have to try them again. You are a fantastic teacher.

Try using a scant 1/4" seam allowance. That usually works for me.

I have an accuquilt cutter but havent used it. I wa nt to use it to cut my binding strips. All of the videos i have watched already have the fabric pre folded. I need a video that shows me how to fold the fabric, which way the selvedges face, etc.
@CarolThelen2 күн бұрын
You take the fabric just as it comes off the bolt. The fold is placed at the top of the die that goes into the machine first. The selvages are at the other side. Hope this helps.

Hey there Carol thanks for your great videos! I have a question regarding this one. It appeared that you folded the fabric twice which would make 8 layers of fabric. Accuquilt seems to emphasize only 6. It looks like the machine has no issue with that. Did I miss something? I recently needed to cut borders but hesitated because of the number of layers. I didn't want to experiment with that much fabric. Thanks for all the great tips for using this system.
@CarolThelen2 күн бұрын
It was actually folded only twice to have 4 layers. In the video I repeated myself and it sounded like I folded it one additional time. Sorry for the misunderstanding. You are correct that AccuQuilt recommends up to 6 layers for the GO machines. Thanks for watching.
