Going to hypershade I select an ai-standard material and open the texture I created by clicking on the color option. After that, select the model and apply the material. You might be wondering why the model turned black all of a sudden, actually it takes a while to add the texture to the model after applying the material.

This is a major issue, and there is no workaround; you must totally remove Maya and reinstall it. Sometimes, the complete c drive needs to be cleaned and re-installed.

I am extruding by selecting the edge of the plane. Once extrude is selected, place the edge at the desired location, then press g to repeat the same step and drag forward.

Create a group ( Control + G ) by selecting the entire model, then select the group and set the key ( S ). Then put value ( 360 ) on rotation
